The DLC is NOT really designed for your enjoyment. You know how a lot of people work hard on the internet for almost nothing and post a donate option on their site? That is what DLC is for Team Ninja, it is a donation to them, and in exchange you get some fucking awful outfits to prove that you donated.

On the bright side you can see the DLC as a means of voting what kinds of costumes you want to see since it gives TN a very good idea of what the fans do and do not want. yano?
Team Ninja gets a good idea of what we want and then they release more old lady school girl outfits and bikinis.
Nothing bad ass. If you're a bad ass like me, you need bad ass attire.
The new character will likely be Yaiba for the arcades, btw. Why would they release a fat ugly demon that only a handful of people want when they could promote their new crap Ninja Gaiden instead?

Tengu is bad ass, but I think what Team Ninja finds best for business is sex appeal. There isn't one unattractive character, and I think most people would fuck the entire roster, even Alpha to a certain degree. So why would they change that? Why would they let someone so ugly into their cast of beautiful people?
The character will without question be a disappointment. I think Rio, the blackjack dealer from DOA Paradise has a better shot than Tengu.

Bass has excellent genes; I mean look at his daughter. He's built, husky and appears healthy with no blemishes or anything else that would make him stick out like a sore thumb.

DLC is so that Team NINJA actually makes enough money on this to justify a DOA6.
Not sure how much TN spends, but from what I know, it cost around $500k to reskin a character last gen (based on what MikeZ experienced working on Battlefront 2). Who knows how much it costs now. But if TN didn't do DLC, then we wouldn't be getting as many costumes as we are now.

Well, I wonder how TN decides which costumes make sence for a paid DLC?!
Sometimes it seems to be really random to me.
If I would work for TN (+ had a plan and budget for it) I would release this stuff like that in one themed bundle based on the requests and suggestions by the fans (in a very early stage):
- 1 Stage (for example a Highschool)
- 1 Outfit pack (like we recently got "school uniform")
- 1 Short Story (based on the Stage and the Outfits)
Believe me - if you put just a little Story Part on that, the attention and memories for a stage and those outfit are 100 % more effective.
Well, the only thing I don´t how is - much I would pay for such a pack.
