Hey, does anyone think that they'll take hairstyle changes into account in designs? I don't see why not, they've shown in their most recent DLC packs that they can create and use different styles depending on costume.

I dont think they've ever done it for a Halloween costume. Like you said though its becoming more common for them to change the hair on the new outfits so I could see them changing it for this contest. personally just to be safe I'll be sticking to their default hair. You could put both default and possible new hair on the design though?

Yeah, I'll do that instead to keep it simple. One costume I want to design for Phase has her shorter hair, and I know for Kasumi I want to design something with pigtails.

To be honest in the Pierrot outfit for Helena she has hernhair completely covered that that's an important part of the outfit so I'll have to just hope they would cover her hair if it got in! I think Kasumi would look good in pigtails so that will be interesting to see.

I'm hoping the Christie one will be finished tomorrow but if it isn't then it will certainly be at some point! I can't wait until the contest is in full swing and everyone's showing there's here.

PS: Does anyone know a good place to see the new designs by everyone?!

To be honest in the Pierrot outfit I'd go to twitter to check out a good bulk of them, but Emperor Cow also made a costume design thread on Japanese FSD, so if you can navigate and find the thread, there's bound to be slot of good artwork over there too. I'll share some in the design thread if I see any that catch my eye

I'm looking at outfits from the past and I just thought does anyone know if when the deadlines up we'll be able to vote for the outfits like last year? Or are TN themselves picking the outfits themselves?

I liked how it was done last year. One vote for each character.

And Zack got that mad scientist hair in his outfit last year and Bass got that sumo hair the year before.

To be honest I can't really remember but I hope they let us vote for this one regardless of past ones. So far Honoka's pastel goth one and Mila's red riding hood one are definites for me.

Only the two first costume contests had voting additionally to Team Ninja picking out their favorites among those. The last contests had just Team Ninja pick costumes they liked. This time it will too work this way.

Woops that will teach me to pay closer attention to the rules next time! Okay I know now though its kind of a shame it isn't by popular vote but they probably got tired of cheated votes or whatever. I'll just have to hope TN like the designs I send in then!

I want to say I'm surprised no one seems to care that a new costume pack is coming out tomorrow but seeing that the pack will allegedly be restricted to only 5 girls, I guess it's not really surprising that there aren't many people too excited/interested outside those who main the girls to be featured.

WAIT! ... That comes out tomorrow?! Omg I didn't even know. Well I definitely care. I was looking on @TanikoChan twitter and saw I few blurry pics of them from far away and say that Nyo's is great looking as well! So at the very least I'll be getting Marie's pink hoodie Honoka's punk one and Nyo's white shirt with the red hoodie tied around her waist or atleast that'd what it looked like.

I haven't used Marie in months (not counting training dummy) and have sworn off buying dlc for her but I have to admit, that costume is really tempting me (I probably wont though).

Go to the search bar, and just enter @TeamNINJAStudio, then go to the "all tweets" tab so you can see them, assuming your phone or computer works like mine. It should bring up alot of entries since the submitters have to @ TN. That or just type in #DOACostumes in the search thing.

Hitomi's short bob option was actually part of her red bear shirt costume contest design, so they've done it before.

It was a Last Round inclusive costume and hairstyle though. Outside of Ultimate inclusive costumes, Last Round inclusive costumes and collaboration DLC sets (like Senran Kagura or Samurai Warriors) changed hairstyles have been very very rare.
Rachel got a new hairstyle once for that football outfit, but that was for the collab with some Koei Tecmo sports game. Oh, but Sara once got short hair for her Halloween witch costume! But they had to, I guess, because she was wearing a hat. Her ponytail wouldn't have worked.
