Well, this year, I tried to collect all the entries on Facebook and Twitter and saved them on my HDD. So, it took me about 3 minutes to find the right one. :bradwong:

Omg now that's some dedication :D, I'm happy you did!

I like the Ninon Beart Kuro lolita vibe it gives off, the boots are also a great complement to the sleeves.

Yeah the outfit is really nice looking, The mix of Kimono and Lolita goes well. Hopefully we get another tease soon since one a day feels so long!

It's just a teaser, no need to put a really high quality image for that. The stockings makes me think it may be Christie but probably not.

If you can even in this stamp size notice the low resolution textures that should tell you something... ;)
It tells you the textures are indeed PS2 quality like so often.

Na, das nennt man aber Einsatzbereitschaft! :D

Also, wow @ the people recognizing their waifu by just a glimpse of the thigh. XD

double post!

OK, bringing back the discussion to dlcs, I have to say, I am gald to see that at least with halloween costumes, TN seem to make an atempt to featuer as many characters as they can since they use fan designs. Tha includes the VF characters and even alpha. Halloween seems to be the only time they actually bother to release as many costumes as possible for everyone and whil I still think its lazy for them to rely on fan designs, it nice to see attention given to most of the cats.*

I personally like the idea of letting fans design costumes. It's the epitome of fanservice (of the not sexual kind).
Plus, as shown by things such as Marie Antoinette Helena and all the Rigs we got from fan contests, some fans know the characters better than TN does sometimes ~_~

That said, that does not excuse the lack of original TN designs, but we will probably have to wait for DOA6 for that.

@Tyaren
I like to use Kokoro and the pose of those legs is from her intro pose.
She is not really my waifu, just used to seeing it, lol.

My waifu is Ryu:cool:

Just stop everyone with the cursing and the attacks towards each other, this is a dlc costume thread.

On topic: I love the idea of fan designs, i understand why it is taken as something lazy, but honestly, i would love to get a costume that i made into the game, and i think is the same feeling that everyone that submitted would have.

... Did everyone like the chicken?

Yeah I really love the design contests, They are the best type of fan service and personally I don't take them as being lazy since It's fun and they also put the effort into putting them into the game. I would love though for them to make more original outfits though because TN can make really good ones when they want to.

Who takes it as something lazy? o . O Modelling, texturing and implementing fan designed costumes into the game is just as much work as with other costumes. Team Ninja's designers didn't have to design the costume themselves, yes, but as designer I can tell you it is actually the quickest and easiest part to come up with a design than to actually execute it and make it work. And often they have to redesign fan designs to make them happen or design also backsides because most fan designs just show the front.
Team Ninja also employs professional character and costume designers. They chose this job because they like it and are good at it, so I highly doubt they are just lazyily bumming around on their workplace and choosing to do fan designed costumes or the hundredth fetish pack because they are just lazy. Believe me, designers would like to do something interesting and be challenged. It is the bosses of Koei Tecmo who tell them what to do next though.

Completely agree! :)

The fan design contests are great, They let the fans be creative and make it more of a community between TN and the fans. And they make every little detail of the fan design in game and I'm always amazed by people that can 3D model. They clearly put a lot of effort into the fan designs.

They really do put a lot of work in it. Probably even more than with their own designs. Now, I am not saying they are doing fan designs out of purely altruistic reasons (of course they don't! XD) but they do make an effort, at least TN's designers do.

I was for example blown aways by the care and detail that they put into the Punk Rock Eliot costume. They added my initials "MP" on the back of his sneakers, added red stitching to make the shirt not as plain in the back or they actually put words on the usually invisble brim of Eliot's Boxers. A modder, who took the costume apart, told me that the boxers say "WHAMM!!" on their brim just as on the shirt. They really didn't have to do that. Or even make three pairs of boxers when only the one with the Union Jack was shown on the design. It was also the first time that they implemented underwear change for a guy.
Another also great detail is the missing skull on the shirt of @Boogie's first Rig design. Or is it really missing...? ;) Play in the ice stage, touch the ground with Rig's butt and look again. You don't add stuff like that when you are lazy and don't care.
