Yes, everyone, Pixiv has a rule that clearly states that reposting pictures from it is prohibithed. YOU CAN link them, but reposting them (as in, the image file) gives you a 404. It's not like DA where it's allowed.
If you respect the work of Japanese authors, you should follow these rules: they are very strict with their own work, and do not like to see it reposted (without permission especially).
For example, Tumblr posts that get reblogged a million times, even with the source, make some of the original artists take down their work on pixiv.

Don't ask me why they do so, but I can try to make an explanation:

Individual work is seen as precious and important, seeing it reposted so casually and so... hmm... with such a fervid, passive consumption might belittle it and turn it into another product that you use for 2 seconds and then throw away. I'm not saying everyone who shares Pixiv works is someone who doesn't respect the artist or doesn't appreciate their work, I'm just trying to understand their mindset.

In general it would be enough to post a picture but everytime crediting the author or the source of it (a thing that I'm guilty to not do always me too).

Probably because it's trying to request something from the pixiv server and you need to have a pixiv account, I don't know whatever

The last one isn't even nsfw, there's no nudity or anything of the sort at all, but it's from a doujin which I found was pretty weird.

Oh well, not gonna reupload all those image on imgur, too much effort. Sorry, guys. Maybe some other day.

So I'm in a friend's contest, and finally got to my ninth outfit.
I am not happy with those boots.
It's traditional theme, and I wanted to go for "Renaissance Courtesan," but it looks too Halloween-ish, like a witch or a vampire.
I already have a Halloween costume for Helena.

I hate those boots. I need to work on feet.

I was looking at them, and I still wanted to do a little original. I should add in some more lace, like @Kodachi and switch to high heels like @KwonJigglypuff said. I like high heels better (thing is my whole entry pack is filled with high heels; my Lisa one has big-ass boots, my Tina one has shredded heels, my Helena one has laced ones, my Kokoro one has Mary Janes, etc etc).
Maybe I should do like Helena's heels from her first costume from 5? Thanks : D

A renaissance inspired design can still be original. This is simply not renaissance style. She looks more like a 19th century prostitute. Adding more lace won't make it more renaissance-ish.
