DOA5U "Blacklist"

This list is just bad. I like how this is called "Top Player" list, because anyone who sit at home all day and plays apparently is a top player. If you're known for scratching your ass, and these online players remember you're a top player. I don't think players in this community understand the value of being called a top player, yet the prestigious title keeps getting shit on. I don't agree with list like these, but if you're going to make one make it strictly based off offline tournament events, and not online bs.

I also laugh how I'm not on the list even though I've placed in offline Majors, and locals using Kasumi, Lisa and Rachel. I also like to point out how I'm all around better player than majority of the people on that list, AND their character (Ayane and Hitomi comes to mind). Requiem has been my offline training partner from the beginning, and HajinShinobi is also my offline training partner, and we help eachother level up all the time. I'm not even mad that I'm not on the list, but I'm more mad at how these random wannabe top players comes out and get more recognition than those who actually put in work for our community/scene. I don't consider myself a top player, yet there are plenty of people on that list that wish to be half as good as me. I know people will look at this as me being "egotistical", but the reality of it is I'm a REALIST. This list is not only terrible, but make us look like more of a laughing stock as part of the FGC. I would recommend getting rid of it.

I think you need to take a better look at the list @Prince Adon. It's a new idea and it needs to evolve into something better certainly.

Remember, if this list is seen as a popularity contest, the whole point of it is completely misleading. It should be used for new players that want to reach out to players that know their specific character. Some players such as Lopedo should be on the list, but he will more than likely not help you because his game is money... and I guess there is nothing wrong with that... but people should be on the list that know frames, mix-ups and combos for their specific characters that are willing to help.

yeah but then it shouldn't be a top player list it should be a community reference list

Majority of those players can not help you. They do not properly know how to play the game, and they yet to even prove they can. Most of these players don't even study frame data, either. So how can they help you? I can help players with most of the characters in the game. Also, I have played and witness most of these players play.

I think the majority are fairly helpful, but I attest there are a few I don't know. BTW, whenever you're in Vegas or whenever I'm in California... I wanna know about that bloodbath you told me about. :D

There is no representation of Ein offline as of yet. This is based off players who have attended and played offline. Be it tournament locals and tournament majors. Whether you have placed top 32, top 16, top 8, top 4 or won a local or major. Or attended and competed.

Yes, I know there are some online warriors that are actually solid with certain characters, and I know who you are. But they have yet to compete offline to see how they'll do in an offline competitive environment.

Like most of us already know, the "top player" has defeated it's purpose in displaying who said player is with which character after the author allowed randoms to edit the list to add themselves onto it and their friends.

Some of that list is accurate, most of it is not. There is a difference between a top player listing and a reference listing. They are not the same and should not be treated the same. If we want to create a player reference list, then let's create a thread for that and we can begin to construct a good list for it.

Don't Worry that was just a beta Test the real one will be strictly offline by the players http://rank.shoryuken.com/ and no it's not a laughing of the stock of the FGC For example:Justin Wong , Chris g we know there the best they will most of the time place top 8 and it's a heck of alot more real than MissJenifer on the top of the leaderboards i figured since other fighting games are making leaderboards offline i figure hey why not give the doa community a chance i posted that doc knowing what would happen but enough with the jokes the real one will be made by only offline players.Also when the real list is out many people will get upset but if you can't face the fact that they are better player than you are anyone in fact then this will hopefully inspire people to go offline more. And the other community's are already ahead of us let's try and catch up cause a bunch of name's and pictures wont hurt that much i will bring my ideas can will help grow this community i even inspired some Tekken players to buy this game i will get this community ahead with or without help. But im glad to see everyone's comment and feelings on this and in the future there will be more ideas people may or may not agree with. As the xbox doa community really don't mind this idea im sure pretty our end won't be complaining and as soon as other FGC community's bring new ideas so will I.

I'm surprised anyone was gutsy enough to even try to make a list like this, no good could have possibly come out of it. (Though It kind of made me wish I had been able to form some sort of offline event. I want to be legit too!)

I think half of these players are online warriors. I've seen some of them chilling on XBL. If they want to make a legit list, all those online players need to go. If you play online, that's cool and everything, but you can't be one of the best by just playing online.

So that's good.

Leon;

1) Rikuto

Rachel;

1) Lopedo
2) MC Kwiggles
3) Sonic Fox
4) Blackburry

Pretty solid list, but I would put Gehaktbal on these two. Aren't there more good Leon players?

Also, I want to say that King Jaimy belongs on the Momiji list but I don't think he has done a lot with her (yet).

These are all of what I've seen offline. I don't like the idea of even making lists because they're usually inaccurate & cause a lot of problems for people who have differences online & offline. Plus, they're always about "who do you know" or "who are you close to" instead of "what have they done".

Has anyone seen the Google Doc recently? Someone got worked up and edited the whole thing to say: "This shouldn't exist" lol

Agreed.

That's my biggest reservation about making a list like this. A lot of the guys on the original Google Doc I haven't even heard of, let alone seen them fight or fight them myself. I have no idea how well they play.

Pretty solid list, but I would put Gehaktbal on these two. Aren't there more good Leon players?
Not that make it to offline events, sadly. There was that one JP guy we got to see who did excellent, but I think we're mostly talking about Western players here.

And @Brute ... my bf nominated you,
Have we played?

Funny that someone would go through all that effort to change everything like that. Especially when you consider how easy it is to just switch it back.

I just took a look at this and I don't know more than half of the people on here :S Idk if that's just my ignorance or of it's because they're nobodies, either way the only ones I recognise are either;
A: people I watch on stream at tourneys
B: people I have played myself
C: from FSD lol

And I know of one offline Ein player who went to the last Republique of Fighters, and is probably one of if not THE best Ein in europe but US Ein players offline don't exist and it saddens me. Why Offbeat hasn't appeared in any tournaments yet I don't know.

Just happen to be wondering around FSD and came across this thread..........yea.......this will only cause endless and unnecessary arguments........just stop :/

"This list" is actually dead now, bro. Unless you're referring to what Master Legend said?

I like how I'm somehow on there (with my tag including a random space to boot...that's actually MORE effort so I'm at a loss). I haven't played the game since shortly after TFC and if we're going based purely on characters I played and eliminated people in a tournament setting with, I'd be on there for Hayabusa and Rachel (the cheese was still strong with her...poor @Prince Adon ). If someone wants to take the time to properly do this, it should have set criteria and only be able to be edited by a small group of people.
