Well in ninja gaiden they had something like this. It would be awesome to have 15 options of hair and accessories

interesting.... Half the forum people here have the japanese copy of DOA3.1? I now remember seeing a combo that i couldnt replicate and thought it couldnt be done unless it was at a specific slope... it all makes sense now...

I'd say only a small number of us have a copy of 3.1. It never really took off in the community because you either had to import a Japanese xbox or mod your current one. Once both options became easy/cheap it became pointless as most of the community went to DoA4 because it had online play. For the longest time I had hoped we would get a arcade release with online play during the whole TN escapade with Itagaki leaving in a way to give us something DoA while the studio tried to get its feet back on the ground. Sadly that was just a pipe dream lol.

I keep hearing "Bring back the sidestepping from DOA3.1" too... does it act as swiftly as Chrisite's 2P+K?

Well Ein fans can rejoice now, Ein is back.

Not too keen on the Jacky inclusion though. I'm all for more characters, including VF one's but I'd prefer someone like Eileen who has a unique fighting style as opposed to another Jeet Kune Do user, which is just gunna cause people to rage majorly online.

As for stage designs I'd like some more multi-tiered stages like what we got in DOA2U such as the Aerial Gardens or the Dragon Hills. Basically stages where the fights can go all over the place. I think the closest equivalent DOA5 has is the Home stage, but that level feels way too claustrophobic. I also wouldn't mind a stage like the Seaside Market from DOA4.

Every stage in DOA3 was solid gold.. best stage designs in the series .. i hope they bring them all back..
Forest , Lorieli, Doatec, the snow slope, even that steel cage tag stage..

It would be cool if they blended the japanese temple stage you see in the DOA3 intro with the new NG2 stage ... like .. make it a hybrid for when you fall out of the window you end up in the NG2 part .. I think that would be awesome :) (the floor in that stage was so shiny.. )

Also, still looking forward to the raining stage ... (Shinbori promised a rainy stage.. :D )

I know this is from a while back in the thread, but I'm legitimately curious. What exactly is the problem with Helena's ponytail in DOA5? I really have no qualms with it, but I've seen people repeatedly harp on it. What is everyone seeing that I'm not?

LIke you, I don't understand what is the problem: her ponytail seems me fine like the one of Kasumi...

I'm guessing because it's really short?

Yeah people complain about it being shorter than before. i don't really mind since I use her with loose hair now.

We already have enough dull looking square shaped ones.
I hope team ninja reads your coment =´)

also they need to improve some of the stages floor graphics, that street stage looks so bad compared to evrything else in the game, also why did they remove details that were present in the alpha demo, like in the demo, ayane hair moves and theres a lot more shadows on her, looks realy good

I would love to see Hitomi's :K::2::K::P: make a return and they need to increase the recovery for low holds. Also most attacks for every character should be safe on block
(Did any of you guys seen Kasumi's frame data!? Got damn! o_O).

What exactly was so special about the 3.1 juggle system exactly? All I remember was seeing crazy infinite combos/ juggles/ like 90% juggles. I can see the appeal of that, but it sounds ridiculous. Unless you mean without the crazy bass or Ayane shit that I remember.

With the exclusion of environment specific slope juggles, combos and juggles didn't do 90% unless you were on hicounter. How would you be on hicounter? If someone threw you during one of your holds. The game is a very kick-you-in-the-balls punishing game. If you want to hold as much as DOA4 let's you get away with it then you will see your life drain fast. You had to he constantly aware if your positional environment for truly dangerzones earned their name in this game. You also had nice natural stun combos that could be used to find out if someone was mashing hold. The fsd was fluid and allowed players to properly space as well and you really had to know your and your opponent's character's moveset.
