Also, Ayane and Kasumi's stance has been perfectly fine since DOA1 & 2.

It's the traditional Mugen Tenshin fighting stance, used by Kasumi, Ayane, and Hayate because they all share the same core style (Mugen Tenshin ninjutsu). You can't just get one to change their stance. Would you do that to Lei-Fang, because it's weird how she waves her arms around? No, you shut up and make them kick Jann Lee in the dick.
