Actually Hitomi is fast, she can crush any speed advantage Alpha has (at least my bf was able to) ... and Alpha's parries MISS an assortment of Hitomi's moves completely after the teleport and she gets no damage from it at all and is set up for a hit. I've gotten hands from Hitomi before, but based on how your approach would be, I think I'm more than confident your strategy wouldn't work.

I've put up with Alpha haters for a long time, and I don't know why. Their voice in the whole thing really meant nothing, the character won a ton of tournaments, she was never banned, and before NEC 13 people said she was the worst character in the game when she was perhaps the best. So whatever the case may be, she made the roster more unique, IMO, more so than your Hitomi and Jann Lee (nothing against those two) and it's too bad she won't continue to be in the game.

Hitomi's fastest mid is 13 frames.....She's not fast. Being aggressive with her is usually a bad idea, and its an even worse idea against Alpha. You absolutely have to play the whiff punishment game against Alpha who's only main advantage is raw speed.

When you narrow down her mix-up game, it's not hard to go in strong at the beginning if you are the least bit familiar with how she opens people up. So when you have as few options as Alpha does that makes her more vulnerable to the opponent knowing when to crush, or reverse, and then after she hits the ground once she's butter. Her critical burst options are a common complaint, but two of them are mids and with DOAs system, most characters can deal with that accordingly.

I will say this... I'm not going to miss my jelly too much. Over the past 5-years I've become bored with her, and she hasn't aged great offline. Most players have adapted to my tricks, and I've moved to committing my play time with Tina, Rachel (who I hope returns with redesigned moves) and Nyotengu, who yey, is confirmed for the game.

My hope is that Phase 4 retains a few of Alpha's fun things. Maybe a few offensive holds, and I think it would be cool if Phase 4 had the FLT stance.

I'm pretty sure Alpha will be in the game so no need to give her moves to Phase 4. She seems like the easiest character to implement since she uses the same model as Kasumi but with a different texture and they can give her the same breaker blow and fatal rush that Kasumi uses. Plus, her fighting style is very unique and she was one of the more popular characters.

Oh, there are the full character renders for Ayane, Marie Rose and Honoka. I hope they release them full size and additional screens soon. I wonder if we will also get charater specific trailers.

do y'all expect/ would y'all want the burning opera stage to make a comeback? I haven't seen anyone talking about it but I think it'd look GREAT on doa6. also, the bell tower stage was gorgeous. ((my #1 pic would be the doatec tower in doa3. idk if that's what it was called but I'm sure yall know what I'm talking about.))

I wouldn't mind seeing some classic stages being DLC, but for launch I'd prefer all original/new stages.

ANIMALS

I would love to have more animals back. In DOA2U you had a tons of animals and life in various stages, also in DOA3 and DOA4. And I would like to see, they would act like an actual animal, not like a "placed polygon model" in the BG. Please Team Ninja, play with it.

WATER-EFFECT / SNOW- and SAND-EFFECT / Mirror- and Shadow-EFFECT

In DOA3 we had a good vision of leaving "kinda realistic" waves in the water. (Lost World Stage). Also, there was a good feeling and realistic touch, fighting in snow and sand. (DOA2/DOA2U/DOA3/DOA4). The characters left footprints which was totally gone in DOA5.

Also, the mirror effects in DOA2U and DOA3 were superb and are brilliant looking up to this day. Even though, it was not real time mirroring, it looked insanely good. Also totally gone in DOA5. The shadows of the characters in DOA5 is a real problem. Girls don't have hair in various situation, also objects such as clothes where not displayed.

INTRO VIDEO / Fighting Demonstration

Please bring that back together with a strong soundtrack. I do really miss that.

STAGES

Your strength was a crazy portfolio of various stages. You had a good mix up in your past games. Please bring that back. What we have seen so far was a start. Please keep that on. The teasing of (most likely) Aerial Garden makes hope for further "coming back stages" that are not too industrial themed.

Crazy portfolio of stages yes!

Variety would be nice. And not just a variety of dirty city streets/alleys/gyms/rooftops. It felt like DOA5 was so filthy.

Some like, interesting architechture or something. Ancient temples, modern skyscrapers, beautiful landscapes. Perhaps some Ninja Gaiden stages... Vigoor churches.
