Took some time but I finally was able to play some matches. Still too early to tell though I do understand in Team Sneak (Cloak and Dagger) both teams can stealth...
Both teams can stealth? That...sounds weird.
Is there any classic Team Sneak mode?

Right now only three game modes. Bounty Hunter (TDM with the ability to recover team lives), Cloak and Dagger (due to Infiltrator class anyone can be stealthed), and Comm Control (Zones).

It lacks a LOT of basic things just about any other multiplayer online game has. Nameable lobbies, connection status, you have to return to Freemode to do anything other than play games, it's very bare bones for what it should be. 3 game modes and a lot of it seems to be fairly unbalanced (automatics, Walker Gears, turrets). You die very quickly (I've taken down Assaults very easily and they have the most health of the classes. Once you lock in searching for a match you can no longer customize your characters.

Also CQC is pretty broken. Oh, and 2 head shots for a kill expect for very few weapons.

Day 1 I expected connection issues but man, I couldn't even connect to a lobby I wanted to join for a while.

Just now unlocked loadouts for my Infiltrator (level 4). So I'm gonna mess with that.

Dear God the Knock (Lure) speech command is horrible!

Mmm, I understand it's Day 1 but...it's not making me miss it too much XD
Could you compare it to MGO2 in terms of gunplay?

It's the MGSV gunplay but with different reloading time for the sake of "Balance."

In terms of overall gameplay I can't quite say yet, still too early for me to judge but from what I've been reading there isn't much to be interested in if you were heart and soul into MGO2.

Even Stealth Camo sucks, all it effectively does is show your outlines to the enemies, damn near useless during daytime unless there is a sandstorm going on (which lasts a whole 30 seconds or less). It is nothing like displayed in the trailers.

So far the game is extremely run and gun. Incredibly easy to kill and be killed.
And people who use the auto aim feature are dumb.
And lag sucks hardcore at times.

...Stealth Camo requires a skill slot. And sprinting is on an invisible meter that recharges over time.

I was getting excited about joining a league for this game but unless it gets fixed big time that probably won't happen. The game is fun to play but it really needs some work.

Ahh, it's just killing my hype by every word.

Oh well. Reading through the reddit, apparently people have been reviving MGO2, so I'm just gonna try to see how that goes.

Yes, all you console players be the beta testers for the PC release. :)
I honestly wouldn't even say that xD
I could safely bet that MGO might just get cancelled on PC, seeing how it's been shafted twice.

Like I said, it's fun but there are some huge problems that really should not have made it into the game or should just be common sense things. I mean no chat aside from mics? Eh, livable if you have one. Walkers have small pools of health? Too much can be a problem. No Team switching, even in private locked lobbies? Not so good. Unable to name lobbies? Problems continue. P2P with no host migration? Damn. You don't even keep experience/level ups you gain if a Host quits.

It's no MGO2, that's for sure, but it is something. I'm just hoping that it gets a lot of love and fleshed out a lot more in the future. My biggest complaint would be how quickly you will die to any automatic firearms. The starter rifle can be used for the same purpose as any other weapons just because of the sheer wall of bullets you can put up with it and get away with.

Also those MGO2 revival projects all require you to use a hacked PS3. I looked into that when the news was first announced.

And this fucking gem.

And there are times I really wish non lethal shotguns were just as effective as lethal. TWO shots to KO when any other shotgun at the same range gets me a kill.
First match I felt like I was doing nothing the entire time and second match I couldn't believe I scored higher than everybody despite being the ONLY person using non lethal weapons.

Also, best way to get GP is to auto match. 100+ if you win, I've been getting 50-70 for losing matches.

Oh. And to color a vest I just bought to try to match Bayman's winter outfit will cost me 50K GP. Bullshit.

CE Items were fixed for PS4, download them from your addon library if you have the CE code registered to your PSN.

I'm a Stealthosaurus Rex now!

When this comes on PC I am probably going to use scout. I love sniping in the main game so I think I will feel right at home with that.

Apparently the new TSNE is pretty stupid? Hopefully it's fixed by the time Steam gets it. It's all I played in MGO2

Finally started this yesterday. No interest in MGO so just single player. The first hour of the game or so is an exercise in frustration. I don't want a slow moving glorified tutorial. It's actually worse than the previous games and their super long cutscenes. The gameplay once everything opens up improves things but I am not impressed so far. Very mediocre and a lot of self indulgent bullshit from Kojima.

Defending team can stealth if they are an Infiltrator. Not that the stealth camo is actually really good anymore (it's so freaking obvious when you are stealthed compared to MGS4/MGO2 stealth).

In MGO ONE shot to the head meant dead. MGO3 is really good, but I would say the jump from MGO to 2 wasn't that drastically different. This one is.

The Scout is the hardest class to use by far. The Scout is not a Sniper, otherwise the aim wouldn't sway back and forth as it does. I get most of my points from marking enemies with my binoculars and using e. locators -- taking shots at my opponent when I can. You are probably better off using the assault rifle in most cases. They have night vision, and this helps very little actually. I can see most infiltrators anyway. Most people do not know how to use this class properly.

Infiltrator is my least favorite class to fight against, and to play as. They are the runners in this game because of that active camo. A smart infiltrator will flank, and a dumb one will run to the middle of the map with the active camo thinking nobody can see them. They have a wide array of weaponry and gadgets though. I unlocked the Fulton Trap just recently, and if an enemy runs on it, they are gone unless a team mate is close by. They also have stun grenades. These grenades are tough to deal with, but if you have a box equipped you will be free of getting stunned/blinded.

My favorite class: The Enforcer is starting to be used a lot more now that people are over the sneaky aspect of the game already. They have LMGs and it makes the difference. Their armor is tricky to get through as well, so the best way to kill them is CQC from my experience. You can unlock a sleep grenade launcher. This thing will fuck you up. Also C4 is a valuable tool of the Enforcer. You can actually put it on the D-Walkers, and it's great for defend the comms.

Tips:

- The box can slide like in campaign. This is great if you know your character is going to be slow.
- Night Vision is pretty useless. It could be a lot better. It's best bet is a sand-storm.
- Getting in the D-Walker at the beginning of the match is a smart move. It makes the enemy think you are going to gun it, and you just might get a killing spree early on.
- Petrol grenades are great against Enforcers that use shields.
- The Scout can plant mines, and this is great for Defend the Comms -- just make sure you don't blow up on your own mines. A suicide is brutal in this game and will take 300 points, which is three stuns or two kills.

Finally got to play this week.

Was worried about it at first but I'm fucking loving it so much now, especially once I found out I can play as other soldiers you recruit, and its done like PO, not PW so each soldier actually looks different.

Just unlocked the ability to customize weapons and have 4 buddies and its amazing and awesome.

EXCEPT.

it pisses me off you can't unequip rifles on the hip. I never use assault rifles just pistol and sniper, so this huge rifle on my hip is awkward as hell. Trying to customize parts to make it as small as possible.

Haven't bothered with online since I only have until tomorrow night to play it then it goes back in the box as I go home where I don't have an hdmitv so I can't use ps4

Also Quiet is a little bit of a butterface
