Ultimate completely changed the game.

-Characters got changed quite a bit, it was NOT "a couple of balance changes"
-ground game was changed & bounds were added
-PL's (meh)
-5 new characters
-new outfits for everyone with some old dlc included
-5 I think new stages
-team attack
-classic music
-tag with items
-character points & new ranks

Ultimate was a fantastic update and deserved a rerelease imo. Last Round, not so much. It was basically a "play this on next gen" rerelease where they figured they might as well add a few things.
Ah right I forgot bounds were new then. Power launchers are barely worth mentioning and rest could've been regular dlc.

Nuy anyways back on topic.

Nobody gives a shit about naotara but do you guys think this means we could push for DW characters?

Well I'm not sure where TN is in terms of 5's remaining life span but given it's taken over a year since Last Round's initial release for a new character and stage to come out, I'm highly doubtful we're getting much content after this (or at least...content that is anything other than outfits).

I'm not sure we'll get a Season Pass 4.

Tbh I'm ok with that. It's time to move on to 6 this iteration has had a three and a half year run it's gotten pretty stale. In that time Tekken has gone from TTT2 to T7 which will be released some time in the near (?) future.

Time for some new stages (including throwbacks that were missing in 5), some new characters that aren't just an excuse to sell a "starter DLC pack", and most importantly upgraded models and environments.

They really should just focus on 6 at this point. I expect nothing less than 120% effort. Let Naotora and this new stage just be it. Let it end on a new stage, new character, and a costume pack where (mostly) everyone is included. That's as high of a note as it's going to get at this point.

I'm still wondering if tn will ever learn from their mistakes or if 6 will be an even bigger mess

DOA6 will be released with Kasumi, Ayane, Hayabusa, Honoka, and Marie Rose as the characters. The game will cost 60 bucks and you'll have to unlock the rest of the characters by paying $10 each. No BGM added. No SFX added. Only character selection screen changed with the background says "Dead or Alive 6". And then, if you don't pay for the rest of the characters after a month of playing, the game will inject an unknown virus to your system and initiate system self destruct, making the unaware you to catch the explosion and burn if you're playing within 4 meters radius of your gaming system.

DOA6 is easy to make ..use existing DOAX3 model + DOA5LR fighting system (tweak a bit)

DOA5LR stage is there (add detail,resolution) + new stage (based on story mode) and plus new story mode

No, no. Those DOAX3 models need some more work. Re-do it. Especially the hair and the joints. Don't pull a Tekken 7 and just port over the models from the last game and run the Maya smoother function over the models. I want the effort to be immediately apparent on first glance. 120%.

AFAIK the DOAX3 models are tweaked versions of the 5 models so it'd be practically using the same models but with bigger boobs and butts. I want to be blown away by a true current gen DOA game and how good its characters look, not fed more of the same recycled stuff from 3 and a half years ago.

DOA6 will most certainly not come within the next three years. Team Ninja is busy still milking DOA5LR till at least the end of this year and they currently are working on other big gaming projects like Nioh, Final Fantasy Dissidia, several of these Warrior cross overs (and a few more that now escape my mind or that aren't even announced yet) and then there will definitely be a new Ninja Gaiden before they even start DOA6.
The DOAX3 models are just slight improvements over the DOA5 models (that being fuller butts and boobs) it's imho really not worth mentioning. All the backgrounds are completely recycled from DOAX2. DOA 6 can't be set on an over 10 years old tropical island. They would have to make completely new fighting stages, which also takes time and thought. Then there's also the fact that half of the cast (the men and some of the other girls) weren't updated for DOX3 and completely new characters will join the roster.
The PS4 is also not at the beginning of it's life cycle anymore. It's well in the middle. Now the real graphical blockbusters start rolling out one after the other. Team Ninja was always famed for bringing their A game what graphics were concerned. They lost alot of credit in the past years, they will step it up again. To compete with other games and fighters they have to completely graphically overhaul DOA...and that will, as I already said, take a few years.

Just because TN ported Last Round to the new consoles without much work and brought DOAX3 out without much work it doesn't mean they can or will do that with brand new games. These two games were exceptions to quickly tap into the new console market and get at least a little of their market share before other similar new games do. With teir next games TN will have to be competitive again and bring something new.

You might want to take a look at the Sexualization in Video Games -thread in the general forum to discuss this. ;) We there also already discussed why you can't really compare jiggling penises to jiggling boobs. They're like apples and oranges.
