New Female Character Teased in DOA5:LR Trailer

The new female character was teased with a brief shot in the latest trailer released by Team Ninja, showing off some of the day 1 DLC costumes available in exclusive bundles.

Also of note is the Steam logo displayed at the end of the trailer, officially confirming a PC release alongside the already announced consoles.

A date is set at the end of the trailer. "1/15/15" This could be an indication for the full reveal date of the new character.

 

Nyotengu looks so good in a cheongsam I just wish they gave her a different footwear from Leifang.
How hard is it to design a good costume for Rachel though? that reverse color swap looks horrendous.

I read that as "cheongasm"....


Also how hard is it to design a costume for anyone lol? They haven't bothered "designing" anything for around a year now.

Could still have as similar fighting style. Unlikely though. She could have some gimmicky stuff like Genra might've had. More concerned about another potential Loli portrayal from Senran Kagura... psh. LAME! I knew it was gonna feel like "GOTCHA!" when they announced the new female character.

 

Someone on FB just posted this pic asking if the new character was Captain Liliana (which as per google search is a character from Queen's Blade). Looks pretty similar actually and if MR has taught us anything it's that TN isn't afraid to base a fighter's design almost identically on an anime character. XD

Why is Nyotengu not wearing tengu-geta with her new cheongsam? Lame. At least the new fan is cool. She better be wearing tengu-geta with that bikini though.

It'd be sweet if you could toggle what she holds too. Fuck that ice cream cone. I want a fan.

I've to say that I would like a similar character, I find pretty nice the design of Liliana. However in the eventuality that the collaboration with Tamsoft regards the concept design of the new character, of course she will get a very anime vibe.

EDIT: I'm not more sure of this scenario, after all TN only promoted a collaboration with Senran Kagura and not with the developers of the videogame or the anime.

In Japan the promotion for the game is different: the 18 swimsuits from the pre-order packs (Sarah's and Pai's included) are available uniquely through the two Last Round Collector's Edition.

On the opposite, the first print copies of the games (I suppose that this means the "day one") will receive included in the game the NINJA 2015 outfits, 4 gravure movies for the new DoA girls missing of them (Marie Rose, Phase 4, Nyotengu and the new character) and 4 extra swimsuits that I suppose will be again for the over mentioned aforementioned four characters (the three sentences in the picture that you quoted should list these three bonus). Between these four new bathing costumes so far the only one revealed was just the JPN competition swimsuit for Marie Rose.

Of course you can be sure that all of the promotional outfits for Last Round will become available later as paid DLC for everyone.

I was thinking she could be Irene. Kasumi, Mila as well as Irene are the only girls I know with red hair. Or... She could be a complete new character.

 

So....I haven't seen anyone suggest that the pink haired girl is in disguise. I mean if, she's from senran Kagura, she's gotta know some espionage techniques, right? For all we know that's not even her real hair, thus the whole "don't tell anyone" bit. Just a thought.

Senrans are not really known for their stealth. I mean it's implied they each have a certain degree of it by default because they are shinobi, but whenever they battle each other it's just a straight up open fight. They don't really change drastically when they go Shinobi form outside of different outfits besides a few exceptions (hair color or breast size will rarely get altered) so I doubt that is a fake/disguise model. All we really know is that this new character will not have black hair.

In any case this potentially wouldn't be the first time another game uses Senrans as an inspirational original character if your familiar with the Neptunia games.

True, but if we're talking about story or intros, then that could actually tie in very well. Perhaps she's asking whomever not to tell because her disguise, something they're not known for, didn't work very well. Of course you could be right as well. I'm interesting in seeing what TN has in store for us.

Not sure if this is the case but actually it's a good theory for getting a character of the SK universe in a not canon version that can works as character of the DoA family. Very nice idea.

You will never see love handles and cellulite in DOA. Not because it's not attractive, but because they don't have the guts to do it. Rachel will be our tall lucious amazon, and Helena our curvy motherly-hips lady. Lisa should have had the curviest butt in the first place (even more).

All the ladies appeal to various fetish and have their own sexy trump card to melt the boys' heart.

I don't understand your assertion that TN doesn't have the "guts" to put a fat girl with love handles and cellulite in this game. They don't design a character like that because nobody wants one in this game! We want beautiful girls in this game, not fat or plain or old ones. Superficial? Yes, I suppose, but also true. And it applies to the men to a lesser extent, too. No one wants a guy in this game that looks like Woody Allen or Danny DeVito. People want tough, muscular guys like Bayman, Jann Lee, Rig, and Hayabusa. I suspect part of the reason why so few DOA players main Gen Fu is because he's an old man. He's neither attractive nor cool-looking. Top tier? Who cares. I don't want to have to stare at an old fart every time I play DOA. This is why the new girl will be a hottie; no doubt about it. And even if she turns out to be Dan-tier she'll be played WAY more often than Raidou.
