Hello! I'm pretty new here. I'm a huge DOA fan, but somewhat lacking in skills compared to the majority of y'all on here. I'm fairly competent with my knowledge and understanding of the game mechanics, but my inability to put that knowledge into practice is borderline ridiculous. So yes. That's me in a nutshell. Consider me like cannon fodder or a marginally more interesting sparring ragdoll...

Thanks, Allan. Nice to meet you, by the way. Honestly, I've been a casual in DOA for over a decade, and I finally decided that DOA5 was going to be the one where i take my game to the next level. I'm not so deluded as to think that I'll ever be a true pro player, but I'd like to at least be able to hold my own in competitive matches.

I'm new to this community, playing DoA since DoA2 on PS2...
Love to play against friends, random people and of course online opponents
Also in addition to the main series I think that Extremes are SO addictive haha..
My mission is to participate in some European DoA tournament locally,
and of course to be part in as many online ones as possible
btw I had an account on DoA Kunoichi forums, if there are any members around from those days!
Other games I like/love:
Breath of Fire series (1-4)
Final Fantasy 7/8/10/XIII/Tactics
Grandia
Guilty Gear series
TOUHOU (the fighting game ones)
Also, someone once called me a today renaissance man, and I think that really captures my soul
Up for anything and everything, in a good way!

That's a great thing you missed DOA4. It was nothing to catch. This DOA5 though, you need to be on board for this one.

I guess this introduction is a bit late, but hey, I'm Takeda. I also go by Inferno. I haven't been on the DOA competitive scene at all yet, infact I wanted to but by the time I found out there was a scene, It was too late.
My first run in with DOA was the DOA2 demo on dreamcast. I spent a few hours playing 3 sets as Ein over and over, and me and my dad even picked up DOA3, and soon after DOA2U. I guess that's where things started to escalate. After I let my friend borrow DOA2U he made me have to start improving because he was easily getting ahead of me, then when we got wind that DOA4 was out, we picked that up and ever since I've been watching people play, trying to learn all I can.
That's why I'm here now, to learn, and compete, and also to pick up the skills to maybe really become better than my friend at this. I might ask a lot of questions, and say things about the game that may sound wrong so I will ask that you do correct me if I say something incorrect, heh.
My mains have been Hayate, Ein, Zack, Eliot, and Jann Lee. In Doa5 I plan on adding Hitomi, Lei Fang, and Kokoro to that list. Unfortunately I don't own DOA4 or an Xbox anymore so I'll only be studying frame data for now but If you're looking for some casual SC5 and Tekken play on Ps3 my PSN is InfernoZX5.
