I'm a bit too aggressive sometimes. Everything dies very quickly or I die, and it's usually a result of missed inputs. On my UN run I died like two or three times on the sandmobile (or whatever they are) part because my dodge-shoot-dodge wasn't registering some of the dodges. Missiles to the face hurt on that difficulty.
Well, she doesn't have as many tools. Looking at her upgrade menu, she clearly has less than the others. But, I would argue that she's more versatile than Momiji. I don't have enough experience with Kasumi to say how she matches up against bosses and tougher fiends, but I've never run into a situation with Ayane where I felt: "Damn, I'm not equipped to handle this," whereas that's happened several times with Momiji. Ayane's speed and lurch are insanely useful.
It does rely greatly on your playstyle, though. For example, Ayane's lack of shuriken cancels doesn't hurt me much since I rarely ever use them with other characters anyway. Only thing that really bugs me about Ayane is that her ranged is quite lacking, making snowmobiles, helicopters, etc. more of a pain in the ass than they should be.

I see. I actually beat all of the chapters on Hard with Momiji, and had a much easier time than I did with Hayabusa for some reason (probably because a lot of the more annoying fights are cut out). I use a lot of Momiji's moveset for various bosses, but when I play Ayane, I mostly just use the XXXXYYY string, Izuna, or SoB bait.
Kasumi, on the other hand, is a mystery for me. I didn't understand you guys' perception of her as OP in the demo, and I still don't. I don't know how to use her.

Brute can you do UN4 & 7 with me
Kasumi:
Ninpo deals massive damage and gives her tons of health when used properly
UT absolutely rends the battlefield with multiple delimbs and instant kills
Has regular shurikens, a tossable decapitator and a chargeable windmill shuriken (more than any other character)
Her attacks are fast and de-limb very quickly
Her SoB is fully functioning and competent, and relatively easy to connect with her speed
And most prominently: the Ukifune is full of madness
I haven't tried the UN trials yet. I come on at weird times so finding partners is hard lol
I may be be able to try them sometime with you, but not tonight (club thing)

About the Ukifune, I remember reading that using Strong after it would guarantee a delimb. I must be doing it wrong because that hasn't happened for me.
Oh because all the players use the chat room, if you come online I can invite you to the chat room, there is always 12+ doing trials in it
Your in for a big surprise then when you take on UN trials, you can tell that team ninja don't test or play those trials

Wave 1: 3 ryu's
Wave 2: 2 ryu's and 1 fiend ryu

It doesn't always Bingsoo, I've only managed to get guaranteed delimbs off the white mooks, you want to use it on delimbed enemies for a free sob chain.

Lol that one was number 49. I think it might be in the Hayabusa village level or the very last one in Day 8, but who knows. Lol, thanks. I think there's a trophy for beating all the chapters with all 3 kunoichi so I guess I'll work on that while I'm at it.
Look up ryujinns guide on YT my friend said they have all of them there.
I've been in the acid pits on Day 4 UN for about 45 minutes now. Dropped in with next to no health thanks to a lucky swipe from an enemy when I released block a bit too soon when I realized the segment before you fall in was over. Now I'm getting one-shotted over and over. This is aggravating to say the least.
EDIT: Made it out of the pits and went through a couple more encounters til the part where you drop down out of the broken pipe. Died on that fight, then the next time I dropped down the encounter wouldn't load and there's an invisible wall preventing you from leaving til you finish the fight. Lost everything after the first time you go through the hallway with the scientists. Beyond livid right now.
EDIT 2: Alright, Day 4 complete. I'm now officially halfway through Ultimate Ninja. Aiming for being done by this weekend but naturally life often has a way of slowing things down.

Good luck, doesn't sound fun at all.
It's very difficult but only a couple things have stood out to me as poorly designed. That and I'm making it more difficult by not buying any health upgrades. I intend to save all of them for the final boss simply so that I beat it in one shot and don't get frustrated lol. So far I have level 3 KG, Falcon's Eye, and True Inferno. Haven't bought anything else. If you're wondering why I've purchased Falcon's Eye, you haven't been fighting the normal helicopters properly lol.
