Looks great on its own, Kronin. What I could suggest are probably tassels on the epaulets (the shoulder ornaments), add some war medals at the front and maybe the belt buckle bearing the eagle crest too (if you don't think it's too much that is).

Maybe it's just me but I'm slightly miffed about the diagonal strap covering the eagle crest at the back and being tucked underneath the belt (but if you don't want it removed, it's alright). I'd suggest moving the diagonal strap away from the belt itself, like slightly position it upward.

Thanks for the suggestions Rawbietussin! ;)

I had already thought the same thing (and the medals were one of the discarded ideas XD).

I think that I will try to add all these details.

Do you mean something like this? Or I misunderstood you?

This is my final design for Ein, waiting for being fixed and totally colored: like I already said nothing too much original, but it's something that I would like to use with him, more the starting idea behind it was to be the answer to the super Ein outfit from DoA2U, something that some people seem to miss (in the beginning I wanted create a sort of alternative version of her DoA:D C1, but then I decided to opt for something less ordinary).
My only wish is that also other fans of the character could like it...

By the way I wanted have your suggestion about the front side of the character: originally I wanted include on him more details, but then... Lady Oscar Helena happened! XD (a very good outfit IMO). So many ideas for my desing ended to be discarded because had too much similarities with it.

By the way I wanted ask you if you think that more details could be necessary (overall on the front side of the chest, but eventually even on the arms and legs) or if the outfit could be good even in its current state. This want be a mixture between a military uniform (simple) and a ceremony one (elegant), so actually both the routes are acceptable in my vision of the outfit.

PS: I ask to you to make an effort (a strong effort XD) of imagination for trying to see that face like Ein/Hayate's one...

Well looks like I've found my favorite for Ein. :D Great job Kronin!!! I think it looks fine the way it is and wouldn't change a thing.

What I meant was the strap being tucked underneath the belt. I think it would be better if it was slightly away from it or make the end of the strap visible in front of it.

I know it won't be possible for the strap to not cover the eagle crest so I'd rather not dwell with that then.

I think to have understood now, but the problem is that theoretically the strap should be attacked to the belt for one supporting the other (if I didn't misunderstand the reason for its placement in the real uniforms XD), so I wouldn't know where to place the strap if not just there.

By the way I could put the strap over the belt rather than under, if the effect should appear more nice.

Edit: Thanks @David Gregg

I really like the general idea, anyway my suggestions (but remember that these are just my 2 cents):

1) Allow to see the face of the character (or give the option to remove the hood): for me is much more easy to relate with a character when you can see his usual face traits, something that remember clearly that you are playing just with him (I don't talk of a character that usually use a mask like Hayabusa). A similar design would give more the idea to play with a robot or a character that could be anyone and not only Bayman, the same reason because I'm not a fan of customization too much far from the original character.

2) About the rest of the outfit, if your idea is to give a technological armor feeling (just like the Vigoorian character or Bayman's DoA4 C1) until now it give more to me the idea of a full cyborg. So I suggest you to change some details giving to it a more human soldier feeling, just like the orignal idea (if I didn't misunderstood you). By the way this could be also a wrong impression that I got now because I see it in black and white, so I think that you should really try to color this version before.

Said this don't get the wrong idea by my opinions: I really like the idea of a such outfit, and your design seems to me good with the exception of the fixings that I would do :)

I would love to give him options, but I'm cautious as to what TN will allow in regards to that. I suppose a mask less version would be acceptable to them but past that I don't think i should bank having the ability to mix/match.

I can see what you mean by cyborg, the choice of the more open facemask rather than a full helmet seems to be creating that look ironically enough. This should be resolved once we find a working helmet design

I was probably thinking about the strap acting like a sash if it wasn't connected to the belt but I know it's not really what you had in mind.

Yeah, I'd say put the strap over the belt rather than under it.

My friend was working on it last night after I passed out there are some details we keep forgetting to add so appreciate it if you would focus on the color scheme as we haven't gotten a chance to implement the changes you wanted us to try yet.

@Russian-chiropractic19: It sort of reminded me of Slade in the Teen Titans cartoon. Somehow, I anticipated the color scheme to be like that and I was sort of expecting the markings to be in red too. It's not really bad but it's somewhat like an expected thing.

Maybe changing the markings would have made a difference. Maybe teal would do.

I'm thinking of moving the seal of Vigoor somewhere else anyhow and the shoulder markings shouldn't have been made that color as they're part of the armor. after we are done the only thing red should be the eyes and maybe the seal, but like I said I'm thinking of turning, stretching, and putting it on the back piece of the skirt like a coat of arms

That said, the seal at the front of the armor will be gone/blank?

@Kronin what kind of colours are you thinking of using? I also think the front could use some extra details. Maybe just some paneling down the material. Still all the same colour, but separates it into sections if that makes sense?

Tweaking the presentation of the design right now:

Maybe it's just me, but when I saw your design I immediately thought to Doctor Doom XD

Doctor_Doom_by_ittamar12.jpg

By the way I really like the model in itself, but this seem to me a character that could be anyone and not Bayman. Make sense to give crazy outfits to the characters, but not at the point to make them completely unrecognizable: my thought is that you aren't trying to take inspiration from the Vigoorian army for an outfit for Bayman, but rather to create a Vigoorian soldier (just like the presence of the Vigoor seal seems to say, something that has no meaning for the Russian assassin).

I remember your wish to get a such character like future addition for the DoA roster, but to force his design on a different character already present IMO will not be able to be fitting, neither to be a worthy substitute for it. Of course these are just my 2 cents and I could be totally wrong, but this is the feeling that I got from your posted drawing (very good IMO). By the way I know that this isn't the definitive version and that you will change it, I wanted just to argue about what appear to me the general direction of your design.

@Kronin what kind of colours are you thinking of using?

This is a good question! XD I'm still not sure of it, if not for the red coat, but even that could change.

I also think the front could use some extra details. Maybe just some paneling down the material. Still all the same colour, but separates it into sections if that makes sense?

I think to understand your suggestion (and thanks for it), but in my vision this had to be an unique piece just like happen for the classic uniforms. By the way I will consider to make surely some little redesign, even if I thought more to additions than to real changes.

EDIT: Thanks @Brute

i can see how you would think that, understand my idea of this isn't to make him a Vigoorian soldier but rather to be using their tech as freelance soldier which is something i do consider in character, i just wanted a way to tie it into the world in a more believable way. perhaps you are right i'll contemplate removing the seal. if i feel it detracts from Bayman.
