Team NINJA Social Media Updates for DOA6

2 whole videos, Well..I mean with irrefutable proof like that.

Anyway though I don't really play online but cool to see that It will soon be getting lobbies, Also good that tomorrow it will hopefully be a lot easier to get pattern points from arcade runs so I can start getting more costumes since I've completed all of the quests. ( Minus one challenge in a certain Raidou mission )

As for the story I feel it was interesting too, I enjoyed it. As for time I felt it was an okay length. As for stages I've been enjoying them too. ( Personally my fave is the Jurassic park one. ( It's name escapes me just now )

There are few stages in DOA 5 but ... are these worse than DOA 5 vanilla stages?, not in my book.

For me DOA 5 vanilla stages were the worst ones in the franchise. Less danger zones, gray color festival and that ridiculous hanging on cliffs 50/50 guessing system.

The worst stages in DOA 6 for me are precisely Sweat and Zero meanwhile Lost Paradise and Forbidden Fortune are some of my favourite stages in DOA.

If Team Ninja got a second opportunity to gain casual players with the whole Core Values situation ... they are losing them with this ridiculous RNG unlock system and season pass price:

They should get rid of this absurd unlock system right now and get back to the classic costume unlock per Arcade run.

People is starting to see this game as a shady strategy to "force" you to buy the 92€ season pass ... and I can't blame them. This is a mess.

Every person who makes a review of DOA always mention the 92.99 USD Season pass. The game is mostly being rated 6,5/10 by most videos I have seen on YouTube. Every video I've seen on YouTube has said the story is bad.
This has to be the worst DOA so far. The other DOA games had better reviews, but this one show a sign the game is going into the wrong direction.
The director of DOA6 needs to take this game way more serious and listen to all these reviews. If he don't then he just want to see the game die.

Can you explain
TN made the costumes hard to unlock on purpose so people would give up and resort to buying the season pass is basically the gist of it.

I don't know how people connected the season pass to the on disc costumes, but with DOA's reputation it doesn't matter whether it is true or not. People will probably spread it around as so and it will just be another reason to not support DOA.

Yeah it's honestly sad how TN consistently screws over DOA like this, it almost seems deliberate to make the series as unappealing as possible. From the whole fan service controversy they could've kept silent on to introducing all these dumb tactics and pricing right at launch. Can't really blame anyone but them on this. All that we can do is hope the competitive scene takes the game somewhere

I decided to delete my previous post and people apparently need to actually check the boosted PS4 rates now and realize the costume pattern cost for the Single Player Modes at the highest difficulty awards a massive amount of patterns now.

EDIT: For the problems with Patterns on the level of how we get them and the patterns going to waste will happen Mid-March.
So yes, they are going to address the wasted patterns too.

Can you explain

Because is nearly impossible to unlock what you want. You're at RNG-san mercy.

They have to fix a lot things in the game, they even have to add lobbies ... but this first exact date they have provided was for DLC costumes.

Team Ninja (or Koei Tecmo) priorities are just wrong. This wouldn't happen with a serious publisher, they would delay the optional content to prioritize the base content being fixed but for them that optional content is the highest priority.

*glances at SFV and the state that launched in*

I mean they seem to be adding in/fixing everything at once regardless rather than anything taking priority since they did the point increase today and have shown that lobbies are coming.

The problem is that precisely. "lobbies will be coming sometime in March" and "we will fix randomness in mid march" but they know wedding costume set 1 will be released exactly at day 15.

They know for sure when they will finish and release optional content but still they can't provide exact dates for what I think should be base content.

Are people......... really trying to defend TN in this situation???????

I totally agree with Jyu_Viole_Grace in that their priorities are fucked. Period. You don’t leave something as basic as LOBBIES out of your game day one, all while announcing cosmetic DLC with a known solid release date while the lobbies don’t. The fact that the dresses are already on their way out means they were working on them before launch instead of lobbies (if there was no DLC the lobby wait would have been understandable). All the time going into designing and modeling these dresses and tuxedos should have gone towards actually making sure a functioning lobby system was in the game from the start. I fail to understand how they couldn’t get this done.

In this situation, this early DLC would be acceptable if it was classic outfits or missing vets like Ein, Leon, Genfu, etc. because that would at least give me the impression that it was content that was intended to be in the final game but couldn’t be finished in time. Did these themed dresses need to be made in the first place considering they took up time and money that could have gone towards making the game just the slightest bit closer to a finished product than what we currently have??

Just because “SFV did it too” doesn’t mean TN or any other fighting game dev should follow in their shoes and release blatantly flawed, unfinished products. Capcom’s way of handling SFV shouldn’t be used for comparison at all. It’s like the bar has fallen so far to the point where if DOA6 didn’t release with arcade mode and only had 10 DOAQuests, certain people would still defend the game since SFV was worse, right?

Bottom line, if we get this outfit DLC before the lobbies, something is wrong because they NEED to focus on priorities. Optional cosmetic DLC is far from that.

Not defending TN for the exclusion of lobbies but uh....

The network play department of the DOA team is totally separate from the Costume Design/DLC department. These are completely different sets of people with completely different sets of skills that are working on seperate things. So what is even the point in getting worked up over DLC arriving before Lobbies? It literally just means the costume people are cranking their job out efficiently and promptly, while the network play people are either hitting roadblocks or just... Aren't very good at their jobs.

We already knew the costume design department was going to be on point lol
