You should be. I find it funny that Alpha gets dismantled for being n00b friendly, when it's always the people that get destroyed by her that say it. She has very few moves, and people know that her BURST exists and have seen her for years. She's also represented by Bladez and he whoops ass with Helena and Eliot too. Does that make you more accepting of the character? If you can't even get up off the ground a 50% throw seems fair to me, and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

I don't think she's broken. I find her to be one of the obnoxious characters and a 50% throw is a bit extreme imo, but overall I'm just tired of Kasumi clones taking up slots and dev time. Phase 4 makes even less sense right now given that Kasumi inherited a bunch of her moves.

Now, to the actual comment:
I'm shook at how much they're changing the date. First it was "Early 2019", then Late March, and now February 15th? (But hey I'm not gonna complain, just in time for my birthday lol, such a nice treat!). I hope this doesn't mean the development is unclear yet, really expecting it to proceed 100% without any kind of delay.

Really loving the new redesign for Ayane, too! She looks fucking amazing and badass! Kinda eh about the rest not having any kind of redesign tho (especially Bayman and Marie, I was expecting Bayman to go full bodyguard-style maybe with a dark suit and some sunglasses LOL, and I just wanted Marie to look more dark and not as much as a gothic loli-wannabe).

The gameplay looks sick, and those story mode cutscenes (I guess?) look pretty cool. Can't wait to see everything in action and discover what's going on!!! I'm the most curious about who's Helena screaming at and also about why is Bayman carrying Marie while looking so badass lol.

I'm also really happy they've finally shown Kasumi's iconic costume and some boob physics. Finally the ones that complaint about these things being removed will (hopefully) be able to shut up.

I've also seen in Amiami that DOA6's preorder has gone up and that some of the preorder extras are Phase 4 and Nyotengu, so their comeback is pretty much confirmed (idk if someone has already talked about this since I just checked the first page of this thread, so my apologies if someone did).

Yeah, I hope so. KT released their TGS schedule and it seems DOA has quite a bit of time. Theres even a special tournament. So we should for sure get some good info then.

just a heads up the all the content that is available on the deluxe can be purchased separately. Not sure about the pre-order bonus or the deluxe bonus kasumi costumes though. So if you want phase 4, you don't have to purchase deluxe to get her.

A part from the exclusive season passes' costumes, they never put exclusive content for the different editions of the game, during the lifespan of DOA5.

So, I guess it won't be for this deluxe edition either

Implying that the past games stories were good. AT least DOA 5 and 6 have a separate story mode to focus on the lore instead having it doing the same like the past games that didn't make any sense . I laterally had to read the wiki on the past games just to understand the lore.

5 - That shit is expensive. Trying to create an actual story mode is better than just a bunch of confusing CG scenes at the end of each character.

I don't mind the story mode as it is in DOA5, as long as it focuses on all characters.

However, i can see, especially coming from the outside, that completing the arcade mode without getting anything from it, could be a little disappointing (apparently, people don't care about costumes, when they come to this point -_- ).

They only games i can think of that have both story mode and arcade endings are MK and Injustice, but the endings are still images anyway. So....

They only case when I completely agree it's bad not to have arcade endings is when it comes to characters that don't appear in story mode.
That was the case of everyone from Momiji onward

I agree. Only thing I can remember is Rig being Donavan's son as a twist at the end and that "everything were going according to plan". That and Mila accidentally leaving a camera on while taking a shower (for some reason). I don't remember why there was a tournament, what the ninjas were doing and why, how Phase-4 came to be or what became of her, how Helena was relevant to the story or pretty much anything. xD

Well there were some cool moments (Eliot and Brad fighting over a dish, Christie spending too much time in the bar teasing Rig and Eliot, Lisa each time she appeared on screen) but that's it. It was actually a good mode for a character like Eliot now that I'm thinking about it. Best character of this story mode.

I reckon it was ambitious to put all the characters in a 3 hours mode (they said it would be something similar to "Pulp Fiction") but it was too messy and the climax was bad. There was nothing really new from DOAD and the characters of Mila and Rig were a letdown. A huge illusion for me despite a good starting. And yeah Lisa's character writing was so terrible.

Oh and Helena was USELESS. Her best scene was with Bass because she showed him so much respect... but when Christie appeared I was jumping from my couch like "Oh come on, she assassinated your dear mother, kept you in a tower pretending to be your servant, laughed at you for killing your mother which led to you a suicide attempt... and you're just gonna let her win her game of pool ?!!".

Hopefully the story mode will be epic. I'm more confident because TN actually learns from their mistakes.
