but did get some nice buffs.
I'm not too sure about that. I could list what I know so far.

Buff's:
+ 4P now tracks (i15 mid punch).
+ 6P+KP causes a bound state but is very slow and easy to read.
+ New SDS 214P+K is a nice addition but it is only +16 on Fastest SE so it only guarantees a mid punch.
+ 236PKP causes a bounce for a free 66KP(P) but is a terrible string which is very hard to land.
+ 8PP4, 6P4 and 3PP4 can now cancel into BT but are very unsafe.
+ 66F+K offers a feint stun but only allows a quick mid punch or a jab as a follow up.

Neutral:
/ 66P is now -9 instead of -5 but gives a light stun on hit instead of knocking down.
/ F+K guard crush can transition into BKO but it leaves her at -1 where she cannot beat out i12 mid's or faster making it somewhat pointless when she could be at +2 if she doesn't cancel into BKO.

Nerf's:
- PPP, 9PP, PP4PP, 66P, BT 6P, 4PPP and BT PP4PPP are now -9 instead of -5.
- Blender 33P4P > 6P no longer works.
- F+K guard crush is now +2 instead of +7.

It's a mixed bag really. She hasn't been ruined but she is overall worse. Losing all her safe strings again, blender getting nullified and nerf's to her only non chargeable guard crushes are pretty hefty negatives. But she does have a couple more transitions into BT, a new SDS that whilst it guarantees pretty much nothing is a nice addition, a feint stun that again only allows awful follow ups and some bound state attacks which everyone has.

She is more fun to play and feels less repetitive buts she hasn't received anything really potent in exchange for her nerf's. Even if she doesn't have some tech that hasn't been discovered yet she is still a decent character regardless.

Is anyone actually able to do any of the power launcher combo challenges? By a miracle I did Kasumi's and Alpha's, but can't do any others.

And Momiji's launcher challenge tells you that you didn't connect the last hit even when you did.

Did the game designers even test some of these? Rachel's one challenge knocks Kasumi back too far to ever possibly be able to finish off the last few hits. As it is now you have to dash forward really fast, free cancel the dash to input the 6PKP. Except since you have to do that all fast the dash to fc comes out as a hold.

I've got such a headache.

I did Ryu's. Wasn't hard at all. Hitomi's Power laucnher in the "tutorial" mode was mroe difficult for me, as I'm not used to her moves and timing.

It's the tag combos that get me. Tired of these. -_-

Haven't tried Ryu's and I did Hitomi's after a few tries in tutorial.

Try Kasumi's. After the PL it's literally just KK7K 6P+K F PPKK. It's so simple. But the last KK never connects.

Edit- just did Ryu's in two tries, his is really easy

LOL Awesmic! Anyways I went to Walmart and DOA5U was there. How? I went to the store didn't see it at all for PS3. I asked the lady and she told me check the new releases section since I told it came out sept. 3rd. I asked again and she showed me this computer. I type it in and DOA5U didn't show up. Ugh....I feel like getting Castle of illusion now.:(

Hitomi's is doable...after quite a few tries =P

I don't know, what I do know is that Helena didn't get any new ones.

This is a shame. At least TN brought back her intro/outro with Gen Fu, and original ones wih Lisa (that should be her official Tag partner)?

The funny thing is that during the E3 video demonstration, many fans teased Shimbori seeing his repeated attempts in doing Momiji's power launcher combo; now everyone realized that they are really difficult to do XD

For me it's just the timing of when to start the next moves to get the right height. It's a little fiddly, and if I'm even a few frames off it can mess me up easily. They're fun to do though. It's always entertaining to pull off a nice little juggle.

I don't have the game but judging from your words this aspect seems really Virtua Fighter-ish XD

Unfortunately I can't really compare, as I've never played VF. But I would say that when you see people doing really simple combos after a PL, of even just smacking them once, it's because the timing is so fiddly at the moment that it will probably take a bit of practice to know when to start follow-ups with your character.

Although with Leon it's incredibly difficult to resist the urge to just catch them.

They're all doable. I finished everyones except Akira's (the PL combo is redicolous), Gen Fu's and Eliots.
Any advice for Lei Fang's? >> I can never get the third 9KKK after 9KK 9KK to connect no matter how high Kasumi is or how fast I free cancel. It's incredible that that same series of kicks can catch someone in the lowest possible bounce in this game, but refuses to work with Kasumi about a foot above her head.

Her 4P+K has always worked like anyone else's for me. Take Kasumi into lab and try it. And you don't really have to worry about 66KK because if you do it too fast it does her other kick which is about the same in usefulness.

I just thought about something. What is the reason behind certain characters having expert holds (Ayane, Kasumi, Hitomi, Rig, Tina) and some not having (Brad, Lisa, Eliot, Helena) ?
Is it a new addition they wanted to give everyone in the first concepts of DOA5 ? Did they lack time ?

Because, I could see Eliot having one for example.
