Wasn't he originally just a random ninja named for the NG Ryu before they.decided.screw it, it IS the NG Ryu?

One of my fave stages is still the DOA3 doatech tower.

No, he had a completely different name something with a K.

But Itagaki was convinced to adopt him into Ryu Hayabusa instead.

In the original Dead or Alive, Ryu was supposed to be a new character named Kamui but one of the staff members suggested featuring Ryu Hayabusa and his persona was added to the roster.

Does anyone have an explanation as to why the online DOA community (PS3) is such a bunch of ax wounds? I have run into an inexplicable number of miserable bastards playing this game. Every online game community has assholes, I know, but this is different. This is the mother ship or something.

Is there a day where good people from FSD usually meet on PSN for friendly, competitive matches? Because this shit really makes a person want to stop playing.

I haven't played anyone from FSD yet but I can tell you there is a page for matchmaking where you can play against other people from the community with their SN's showing.

I've had a similar experience with the Aus 360 community. No one likes to lose, I guess and its even tougher when you have no teammates or anyone else to blame for those losses.

This is a field of expertise for me, actually. If someone's trying to learn the game, playing it is tough because they face people better and tougher than them. If a person gets beaten several times, they're not going to even want to play. You may be trying to teach them, and that's fine, but if you go to school every day for 10 days and some guy beats the shit out of you every day, by the 11th day, he's not going to want to go to school.

I couldn't even see in that stage. Fucking walls and shit in my face the whole time. And if they didn't disappear right, you were just looking at a fucking wood panel while your opponent mashed you to death off-screen. It was like a nightmare straight out of Ninja Gaiden.

I can tell you now that Marie Rose probably will just be there for the sake of being there. The only hints they would give us is if she has any special tag team intro and victory poses. Otherwise, she's just going to be a blank slate.
