Wrong. TN wanted to add Ein (along with Leon/Tengu) , but was cut due to time constraints.
The reason is simple. We wanted to have them in the game, but we did not have time to include them. If DOA5 goes well, we want to include them in the next game because I really like those three characters. And it would be good to think of having other characterse as well. - Shimbori interview in the back of the DoA 5 strategy guide

Please don't spread misinformation and the part of them wanting to remove "similar style" characters is pure BS as well otherwise Tina/Bass, Akira/Kokoro, Kasumi/Alpha 152/ Phase Four, Jann Lee/Jacky etc wouldn't exist together in the same game. I'm not gonna even touch the part on how you claim to be a big Ein player yet sound convinced Hitomi is a valid replacement for Ein as if they played the same.

mmmmmm not sure on that. With the initial leaked roster from the Alpha demo, every character in it made it into the actual game and no characters were in the full game that were not on the list with the sole exception of Leon. TN later confirmed in an interview that they wanted to put Leon in from the start but was cut due to time/money constraints, but I recall no such mention of Ein.

Honestly, I think they originally planned to have Leon, but not Ein.

Now that you mention it. Doesn't someone said(Don't know if shimbori or who) that they would not add Leon because they don't know people who want him in DOA5?

I remember people hacked into the demo of vanilla and found the full roster leak. There were remnants of Leon's model left in the game's data which lead people to think initially that he was in. I know that people learned about Rig and Mila's name WAY before their release trailer.

So yeah, Leon was planned but was probably scrapped due to time constraint.

Edit: Shit I got ninja'd by Brute.

TN said they wanted to remove characters who have similar styles and indroduce new characters ? They are self contradictory. SPOILER: Kasumi clones 3 times. *cough* almost same moves *caugh*
New Characters are always welcome: Tengu should be in the boat.

This not a reason to remove the badass Ein. Ein was a member of DOA and removing him its like he doesnt ever exists. Same goes for tengu.

1. Ein is much cooler than hitomi. 2. Ein just need " A good Vibration" pose 3. Ein says "toriahh" which is a very good spam move and makes people mad and replacing him for hitomi is the worst thing what TN can do....... just saying

Waht would happen if TN remove eliot ? How you would feel ? What you would you do ? Dont think about that ? Yeah I know because your characters is already in the fucking game. I hate such people.....

Sorry pal ... but tengu was a member of DOA .....people who have tengu as a main tries to get him to the boat.

I really like Forlorn Penguin for to espouse a character which isnt in the rooster. I like your spirit dude. You have my support but I havent a facebook account only twitter.

New characters are welcome but Tengu should be in the boat.

I'm against a new DOAX, i think it does nothing but ruining the image of an excellent game.

Now i really think i would buy something like a "DOA X soccer", even if it also feature a shit tone of skimpy outfit like DOAX.
Something like MarioSmashFootball with DOA character would be ENORMOUS and i'd totally buy it at day one.
(Immagine scoring by doing a forward isuna with the ball... Gosh !)
