I'm pretty sure "character development" is a foreign term to...whoever writes these characters, quite frankly. These characters don't 'evolve;' their personalities suddenly, inexplicably change in order to suit whatever role they were arbitrarily given in a particular game.

They do this too much, and it deviates from what made them "badass"

On that note, I think shes just got a Spanish name, heritage at most. II'm pretty sure she's American. there's literally nothing Spanish about her beyond her name. Like how my name is as Irish as you can get without a preceding "O'", but I'm not from Ireland at all, just Irish heritage.

well, not really. at a glance you can still see her as a European noblewoman, at least. Everyone else I can make a guess based on things show about them, but Mila? bbig fan of prowrestling, tomboy who dresses a little redneck, and works in a diner (toms diner) while doing MMA circuits. everything screams American with her. also I just realized she works at toms diner.
