I'm in no position to teach Pai. I can play with you and show you some things with Pai and you can expand on them. I've been playing VF on my 360 lately and I am being lazy about hooking up my ps3. I should be on the ps3 in the next few days or so. I'll look you up when I get on.

Awesome Does voice work? I know nothing about this game - lol, but I've adopted a new mantra. It's currently my status:
-Learn to love training mode.
Definetly the best place for me to be right now

Just in case I didn't use enough smilies, I am looking forward to it and enjoying my time with the game tremendously right now. Anytime I'm on is cool, lots to learn between now and then. If you feel you can't teach me anything with Pai (which I doubt), feel free to 'learn me' with your charcter of choice - lol

I don't have a mic for the ps3. That is something else I've been lazy about. Every time I think of getting one, something comes up. So well be playing silent games starting out. I will get a mic though, eventually.

i think its official, this game is dead. online is a complete ghost town at least on ps3. no one in player matches and room matches are extremely rare. ranked matches are the only chance to even get in matches with maximum of 6 people ever onit but its littered with low ranks with barely anyone near my rank to play(shatterer). with TTT2 out and DOA5 next week it will be the final nail in the coffin

Yeah it happens to me on 360. I can only find a few ranked and it usually puts me up against the same players over and over. It's very sad.

I always play new/different players on the 360 and PS3. It's only in ranked matches and at certain times will I play the person over and over again. Even after DOA5 comes I'll still be playing this game. I've advanced fairly well since it came out. Can't let that go to waste. This coming up NEC I'll see how well I fair in VF offline. I am pretty excited about it. I learned a very dirty trick with Pai. I must know if it's as good offline as it is on.

As far as I'm concerned, that game will not be dead until after Virtua Fighter 6 comes out, should SEGA ever bless us with it. Then again, I almost never play online, so I guess it depends on how you determine whether a game is dead or not. I think a game is only dead when you've stopped playing it. Otherwise, there's still life to be found, no matter how singular that life may be.

Go to VFDC and you'll find good competition. The game is far from dead.

I play this game almost everyday and the online I play is with friends in private rooms/parties. I plan on breaking this habit of mine when DOA5 comes out and really make use of online mode (also begin dealing with scrubs, rage quitters, and finding out that half the 15 year old population fornicated with my mom).

I can only seem to remember one rage-quitter in my online VF experience. He was a Blaze player, and we actually had a pretty fun and (kinda) close match. He quickly messaged me saying all sorts of nonsense about Kage being cheap, overpowered, et cetera.

Come to think of it, I also had someone ring himself out because he refused to play a match with five rounds. I will never understand that one.

I've also had my share of people sending me weird messages after losing (one guy even sent me a bunch of voice messages explaining why I was cheap and he had "skills"...) and some rage quitters too. But that was mainly in the first two months. Lately everything goes well (no ragequits, no angry messages)
