Northern Battles XXI is happening on Sept. 13th for DOA. You know the drill. Come out and support this awesome game like it's supposed to be. NOW IS THE TIME, to maintain this momentum that we have going into the crucial Canada Cup & EGLX tournaments this Fall. LET's KICK SOME ASS!

Doors open at 12PM
Registration starts at 12PM - 2:30PM (Tournaments will commence once the TD is ready)
Venue Fee: $10
Entry Fee: $5
All games are: Best 3 out of 5 sets
Double Elimination Format
Recommended Health setting: NORMAL health (300 HP)
Note: Dojo stage banned (Danger Zone soft ban)
Time Limit: 60 seconds
Character Lock for Winner only

I'm going to state this as a rule and hopefully other places will follow for upcoming tournaments

  • Under no circumstance will people change consoles for costumes, It is extremely rude to the people who run the tournament and will do nothing but further waste time.

Ah, had a solid tournament this month at Northern Battles 21. GGs all-round. Glad to see og23 continue to level up his play and only narrowly fell short of making grand finals in a monthly tournament. Always happy to see solid Lisa play on screen, even if he *ahem* flipped the middle finger at the costume "soft ban" for a set LOL (which actually helped him ironically..!) Congrats to og23 and Machinehead for the runners up. And sorry for the Christie (She's balanced I swear :cool: ‪#‎buttons‬).

Big, BIG Major happening in the Greater Toronto Area (Mississuaga, Ontario to be precise) on Nov. 13th - 15th. Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo (EGLX).

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will be receiving $750 in pot bonuses and will have FREE entry (though you will need to pay for the venue fee for the weekend event: http://eglx.ca/tickets/).

Interesting tourney we had this week. I would be misleading you if I said things went smoothly but at least we fully finished on time for once! Props to Jeff for the strong GF's match and reset. Looking forward to seeing how things go in the future! And Luca, let us never speak of the Christie mirror again :oops:.

Nice to get another tourney completed this week. Matches were a little lukewarm, but it was great to see Erik & Corey developing a new rivalry in DOA. Was fun watching your Lisa/Phase-4 & Kokoro go at it! As for Luca, please drop LeiFang lol. YAAAWWWWW!!! :leifang:

So for the next little while, i won't be able to come to casuals. I found out some place in hamilton that does uniel tournaments and I intend to go there for practice since that's going to be my major tournament.

Also, i'm not going to be at a&c for the next little while because i have to spend all this extra money to go there

Alright, got a third War games under our belt this week. Nice to see Rich mow down some people with his Pai, but unfortunately he didn't have an answer for Hunter's deathfists. Corey's Kokoro valiantly tried to whittle down Hunter's Ein's health with his stun-throw setups, however Hunter caught on at just the right time and shut down those setups. Next up we had Toronto's resident Luchadora specialist Erik come up to the plate and appeared to have no problem making short work... of Hunter's Ein. And then to cap off the contest with Luca, it would be decided in a La Mariposa mirror. It actually was a pretty interesting match due to how the contrasting styles of both players was on display here. Ultimately Erik's Lisa would prove too much for Luca's and he came out on top the winner of the third DOA War games!
