Not so odd as annoying. Played a Ranked Tag match against someone as Bass/Leon. They turned out to be Momiji and Alpha. First reaction is "FUCK ME" and second is slight happiness that Momiji is out first. A mess up on Tag Burst turns into a Force Out and I unintentionally face the wrath of an Online Alpha.
It turned out better than I would have ever hoped. Around fifteen seconds later (a CB with a pretty awesome tag juggle and fully executed Hi-Counter Dervish Throw later) I draw a huge sigh of relief as Momiji hops in. Then Round 2 occurs and the guy switches to Alpha out of the box. This time it takes closer to twenty seconds but I still whoop some jello ass. The guy basically gives up and starts talking about how I throw too much and I only know how to throw.
Go back to queue and get him again. This time he picks Alpha/Helena and similar things happen except I do a lot of Bass setups and win with Bass alone. All the while he is complaining about how I throw too much and how I should play like a real man (real men always pick Leon/Bass, there is nothing manlier unless Bayman is involved).
One more queue later and I get him for a third time. Alpha/Christie. This time he complains non stop about how I keep throwing him (I will throw punish, nothing will stop me from trying except safe moves). We end the match and he says "I bet you can't win without throwing" and I decide next match I will play Mila/Hayate since I'm not throw dependent when I play them and know how to do half health+ combos with Mila.
Never saw the guy again.
The fact I got him three times in a row was odd enough. It was even sweeter because of how he let me dictate the speed of the match don't let Leon or Bass do that, you are in for a bad time if you do).
