What do you want for NG4?

I have no idea that is supposed to mean lol
DOA5 vanilla was more balanced than DOA5U and was actually a very solid game. Though 5U added some great things, vanilla still carries merit.
NG3 vanilla, however, is horrible. No redeeming points and it does not stand up on its own right at all. As much as I complain about RE, it was a gigantic step up, and did better with both gameplay and features. It is universally better.

So your analogy "NG3 = DOA5" doesn't work because one is a horrible game and the other is a pretty darn solid game.
"NG3RE = DOA5U" doesn't work because 5U is not a universal improvement, unlike RE.

The Ninja Gaiden Thread ! Yes I am feeling at home right now :p

Lol @ doa5 = ng3 lmao xd

Hmm I think he means that doa5 it like ng3 not from gameplay assort the versions. DOA5 is a test version like NG3 and NG3 RE are like a special edition from NG3 = new feature etc like DOA5U from doa5 new characters , new moves or stuffs I think. He has geat ideas like Coop Survival. I like that !

We know what he meant. The problem is that NG3 and DoA5 are on completely different levels of quality (read: DoA5 isn't insulting).

The best thing possible, following the Resident Evil 5 approach (Which is the best selling game of capcom through all times) one should add coop through everything.

Quick suggestion would be to have Ryu and Momiji through everything, and make it a possibility for coop over the net or select one of them with an AI. Look to RE5 for things to implement. Once you have completed it you can replace any of them with Kasumi or Ayane, just like in the regular version.

Also, maybe one of them (or everyone) could have a slightly different combat system. Look at Batman, MGS Rising or Assassins creed 4, the "counter button" + directional + follow up command would make the combat feel more epic and fluid. Right now you feel like crap in NG until you get a finish move and get the cracking going. (Powerup (hold square) and release is something I feel I must do waaaay to often, and it is one of very few moves I feel is worth doing as it gives that heroic crush to enemies reward feel when you hit)

Look to the battle of Jet Stream Sam for how to do it. It is actually strange that DoA and NG is related when countering has such low importance and usefulness.

i really dont want to add co-op to this game especially forced co-op. first off just to much shit happening on the screen at once and second its not really needed. RE5 that type of thing helped because your character was slow clunky and you needed to watch each others backs. in ninja gaiden thats not really the case and the only thing it would really serve to do is lighten the load which isnt the problem. im all for multiple character options but not co-op.

i personally despise Risning's fighting system its dodge button was a pain and the "counter" system was basically press forward and attack meaning you could blindly attack enemies and block all their shit. the counter button in Batman and AC is basically press A to win not skill based in the least imo.

countering in NG was basically just a way to get enemies off you, then in NG2 you could really do some damage. i honestly don't remember countering in NGRE

If you mean online trial co-ops then you are wrong but if you mean campaign co-op if they were to add they should just make it optional

Like have a regular campaign without a partner

And if you choose to do co-op maybe give the enemies more health or spawn more enemies, TN wouldn't have to worry about frame drops because of the next gen

how do yall feel about the switching of characters mid campaign?

Personally for me...
NGS1: it was thrown in and needed a LOT of work, it was more a pain than anything.

NGS2: it was better more care was taken into the characters and their stages, but they still felt inferior compared to Ryu meaning the game felt more difficult. still i liked the change of pace and variety

NGRE: the ladies were given much needed upgrades and the parts where you played as Ayane didn't feel anymore difficult, if anything she seemed to make things easier.

I like the character switching as long as it's set up properly. Tommy should be main focus but other characters is a great change of pace. They just need to make the ladies just as capable with what is thrown at them.
