Which Newley added DOA5 character are you most excited about playing?

Well that's part of the problem. I'm convinced the reason they brought back Spartan's fighting style and not Tengu's is that they found it more plausible to put tits on Spartan's fighting style than Tengu's, and ultimately what they wanted is more tits. I liked Tengu aesthetically and for gameplay reasons, and certainly don't think he should have been cut loose in favor of Spartan (who I like neither her style or gameplay) or Rachel (same boat) for either gameplay or aesthetics.

And that's the point. They don't "truly want to add Tengu in" because he's not primary fap material.
I always thought it was because of the same technical reason Taka Arashi was not in VF4. Compared to Bass, Tengu is significantly wider than he is, so it could be the issue of working him in the new graphics engine. Also, due to the fact they have to rework the way he plays in a number of ways to balance him out with the rest of the cast, they probably needed more time to work on him.
But fap material? Really? If that were true, they would've retired Bass from the roster for good and replaced him with Rachel a lot sooner. But they didn't. People like Bass, fap material, be dad-gummed.
Are people really comparing Rachel with Tengu? lmao
I'm not really sure why people think Rachel is replacing anyone other than Spartan :S Team Ninja said they would put Tengu in if enough people wanted him.
ontopic: I voted for Rachel because she's very powerful, very heavy and my favorite NG character of all time. also they replaced the generic sidestep animation with her Twirl~ ^_^

Tengu isn't a demon. He's a tengu. Though his C2 and C3 from DOA2U looked fairly demonic. Tengu are pretty cool though. What other game lets you play as a tengu?
No offense to Rachel, but plenty of games already let us play as a blonde chick. In fact we already had three in DOA5 before DOA5U. Why add another one instead of bringing back an already established character with fans?
Honestly, I'm more mad about Jacky though. At least Rachel is actually part of the universe and belongs to TN. She can actually stick around as a mainstay character. Jacky can't. There is no justification for him making it in over a DOA character.

I'm sure they don't care much for him because he was just a pass boss it has nothing to fap or anything like that. And why is it that anytime someone wants a guy it's because of their great personality, nice fighting style, and being a great inclusion to the cast and when someone wants a girl it's only for boobs?! Idk why people keep thinking that mess but it's really messed up

Well I actually like Tengu AND I'm glad Rachel is in ultimate. Why not have both? And for those of you who aren't really big fans of him and don't play as him, think of it this way...he can do this:
Untrue. I've been arguing that Momiji would be a great addition to the cast since the DOA5 Alpha Demo was first announced. I'm a bit disappointed with the style they gave her but that's a separate issue.
Alpha "was just a pass boss" as well, and way less original and unique than Tengu. Alpha got back in. Why? Hint: it's on her chest. Also, she was only playable in one game prior to DOA5. Tengu was in 3 (possibly 4, though someone would have to confirm for me if he was playable in Hardcore or not), so I'm sure his fanbase was bigger than hers.

With the VFs in there I think it's safe to say that story canon wasn't their primary concern in making the roster.
