Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z

Yaiba looks like it could be silly fun, but I am a bit skeptical. I also really think it should not have been attached to the Ninja Gaiden IP.....it just does fit the NG universe and vibe at all, and honestly does not show respect to the NG franchise. It should just have been it's own separate ninja vs. zombie game. I am worried Team Ninja has made a mistake in attaching the game so closely to NG since already the media is calling it "the next NG game", which it clearly is not meant to be! I hope I am wrong....

I think Team Ninja needs to hurry up and make some next-gen game announcements before Yaiba's release, making it very clear that they have some of their own developed games coming.

The media is incompetent I care little for what they say. Anyone with half a brain can understand what the fuck a spinoff is it's hardly a new concept. Not to mention this ridicules hate zombies have gotten in video games for some stupid reason. funny people butch about that but I've seen more varied gameplay with the undead than I've seen with any shooters COD or no . Dead Island, left 4 Dead, Dead Rising, stubs the zombie, Resident Evil, COD zombies, these are some of the best we've had and it shows just how stale the industry is when you can take the most basic of stupid enemies ,design a game around it and STILL get varied gameplay! meanwhile I didn't play Farcry cause the combat felt just like every other shooter I've played ever yet it's praised for some stupid reason.

This isn't a rant saying love Yaiba it's a rant saying STFU about zombie games till you show me something better.

I would love to, but they're not making anything better these days. I can retroactively point to NG1 and 2, though. Those are better.

Given it's Keiji Infafune, I've basically been expecting the boss battles to be psychopaths from Dead Rising (who, if you haven't played the series, can be a challenge, but often not a very fair one).

Oversimplification. Boss complexity deals a lot boss attacks and AI behavior as well as your player skills/tools. Bosses nowdays tend to have easy loops or exploits and often follow inconsistent AI patterns combined with silly, scripted iframes. Makes things kinda random, pointless and silly.

Actually, it was a bunch of dudes in the 2D era that created it, but it was Itagaki that created the "beloved" Ninja Gaiden that most of us love so much. But, I guess you are the ones who destroyed Ninja Gaiden with NG3 and Hayabusa's now apparent "weewee." Why you say this with apparent pride is beyond me.
