Oh.... Force, its you....

Why did I think Emperor Cow posted this ? Maybe it's Dementia.

Anyway, As a Jacky player (for now)... I Approve... Thumbs Up, Buddy. ;)

And yeah, Jacky's FSK is a pain in the Ass. He can be played without it but I would never ignore such a versatile move.

Does anyone recommend any good Sarah videos for education? I've seen Steady and Khaliah use her, but Steady seems to have dropped her... :(

He didn't Drop her... he considers her to be one of his two mains... that being said he likes to experiment with other characters and saves his mains for worthy opponents...

Which is funny because if he feels like it he'l just simply stick with his pocket characters even in Grand Finals... lol... there's really no other competitors like him.

As for Videos of Sarah... those are very very Scarce.

Everybody here will tell you shes a great and strong character but nobody wants to use her...

I learned Sarah just by watching Steady on the few instances he did whip her out in tournaments.....

The Evo Side Tournament in 2015 was one of his best performances with Both Sarah & Jacky... I've watched it and study it like 8 Times... I even pause and rewind 5 seconds so I can see what happened.

Let me see if I can find it.

Edit: Found It :)... Team Ninja had it.

@Lulu: Thanks for linking that video of Steady during EVO2015! I've actually looked that particular video up and it was such a spectacle to watch! I can only wish one day that I will be halfway as decent as Steady's Sarah is.

I just wonder who or what would warrant Steady to use Sarah against. I mean, Kwiggle and SonicFox both give him a run for his money and are strong opponents, but I haven't really witnessed Steady pull out Sarah against anyone in any recent tournaments, which is what made me think he dropped her for Lei-Fang or Helena.

Also, why do people regard Sarah as a strong character but no one uses? My personal take on using Sarah is because I am terrible with her in VF and like her fight style, so I tried using her in DOA5 and grown to like how she plays.

Yeah thats just how he is... you really have to rattle him to make him Switch to Jacky or Sarah.... but he can just aa easily whip out Bass or Eliot if he feels like it.

I honestly don't do know.... its just one of those Quarky things you see in any fighting game.... a perfectly valid character will just get ignored.

In KI I think its Kim Wu.

@Lulu: I suppose that makes sense with Steady using Sarah. I think I've only seen him use Sarah during EVO2015 and after that, no one seems worthy of his Sarah anymore. ;)

What about Electrified Mann? Wasn't he a prominent Sarah user as well, but dropped her for Helena?

Just out of curiosity, how well does Sarah stack up against the rest of the cast? If she has such great tools, she should have an "easier" time with other fighters' fighting styles, no?

E-Mann's a Character Specialist (Crazy Steady aswell) he can use about half the Cast very effectively including Sarah.... so for him whether he will whip Sarah out or not will depend on who he's up against.

No Idea... the VF Characters are difficult to place, especially Akira since he very unlike any of the rest of the Cast.

All I can say is Sarah is better than the Grapplers but not quite as good as the Ninjas and Christie.... so... Top 12... maybe.

Hell... I couldn't even tell you if she's Better than Jacky...

@Lulu: Haha, that's fair enough on where Sarah ranks! I've always had a feeling that she ranks below any of the ninja characters, especially Kasumi. She is one tough cookie to fight against, along with Phase-4.

Phase-4 isn't that tough... she just really converts big damage very easily.

And shes got fast buttons too so you really have to exercise some restraint or else you get Counter hit and lose half your Health in a worst case scenario.

Playing Defensively is your best against Phase 4.... unless your going up against Kwiggle then you need a miracle and prayer to make it out alive.

I thought this was a Sarah thread not a Phase4 thread.

Sarah is really good at mixups and she’s more dangerous to deal with than phase 4 imo. Sarah is also one of the more “uncommon” characters so most people don’t really have much knowledge about how to fight against her.

Theyre both very unsafe along with Phase 4 having a mediocre neutral game. Phase 4 does have very great mix-ups and can easily get damage off one launcher, my advice is to just block and throw punish her

@King Anubis: I think my trouble with Sarah is that I can't mix-up her moves that well. It's almost like a mental block at times, but knowing the frame data does help a bit as well as memorizing most of her moveset.

@Lulu & @Bacaww: I feel the same way with Phase-4 dishing out big damage with small touches. Rest assured, I don't think I will ever achieve a level that can rival Kwiggle so I won't even go there. Out of curiosity, are most of Phase-4's moves throw punishable? I would imagine her "teleporting" kicks and whatnot are negative frames, enough for a i7 throw? (I don't mean to make this post specifically about Sarah vs Phase-4; it just happened to head that way ;))

I think most of them are....

I think all the enders from her Teleports are Unsafe... though the elbow one might be tricky to punish considering how quick it is.

Yes theyre all unsafe but one thing worth mentioning is that Phase 4 has an option where she can teleport over you after 66PP

@Lulu & @Bacaww: All great information to keep in the back pocket! I think the only way to test my knowledge, aside from going through the numbers in Free Training, is to take it to the online world. Hope I can at least put up a fight!

I'll be checking back in here. May need to seek some more guidance from you guys! ;)
