Hot or cold take, I genuinely believe that DOA5LR probably had another 2-3 years left so that DOA6 could of released in a proper timeframe to not only escape COVID, but also released in a state with proper budget, love, and potential longevity support.

Ok maybe budget and support not sure lolol considering it's KT, so even if we waited it's not a guaranteed final concluded product.

I agree tbh, looking back to when they stopped in 2017, they really could have gotten 2-3 more years out of the game since it had only dropped two years prior and they definitely could have went further tbh since just two DLC fighters and like 1-3 new stages just didn't seem complete imo. I think they wanted to move on too fast xD

I just will never understand... KT had revived one of their classic series with a new hit game, and they decide to follow it up with a sequel with a lower budget and less effort? Boggles the mind. They could have at least not rushed it out after ending DOA5LR's support... I wish they weren't so averse to releasing complete versions, it's been 10 years but I guess they still expect people to buy DOA5 costumes.

man, I don't think I could of handled another 2-3 years of DOA5, i was so burnt out by year 7, but given that DOA6's major pitfall is that it lacked direction and passion, no amount of extra budget or dev time was going to fix those issues, that said, a DOA5LR who's end didn't come so abruptly and a fully realized DOA6 would've been preferable to what we actually got :/
So, how's everyone feeling about the Steam Machine?

^I'm in the same boat, just got a steam deck this year and it runs everything I need it to run just fine, but yeah if it reaches a point where the steam deck is no longer powerful enough, a Steam Machine will be in the cards

Price will also be factor though, but I trust valve wont try to completely rip us off, only time will tell

Steam Machine?

Let me guess... Epic Mickey is the pack-in game and mascot.

I'm interest in Steam Machine from a good reason to say screw Windows 11 (for whatever garbage they add like Copilot), improve My gaming experience, and perfect to test out for game development.
The Delta motion (Guile's flash kick super) is one of those inputs I've always had trouble pulling off consistently, but its kinda rare and old school so I've never been forced to learn it,

Until now, 'cause its in Aquapazza, and it's on a character I really like and will potentially main, fml :/

It took me years to do the Delta Motion (Chun-Li has it for Hazan Tenshokyaku in the Alpha series) until I finally learn the trick behind it.
Lowkey hope 2026 will be the year of older game collections and remastered game sets, I feel like the FG community on Twitter in virtually all fighters really want an easy way to go back to the classics again since the love for the older titles are definitely receiving alot more love^.^
What's the biggest misconception / misinformation a character you heard of? I'll start. Akira. In DOA5 years ago, one of the biggest lies told is that he needs you to block. Not blocking is actually the worse option. Here is Akira's innate rock/paper/scissors:

If you block, you get guard broken.

If you "don't" block, you'll get counterhit (worst option) due to his high damage.

If you SS too much, you are thrown.

That you pronounce Helena with an H. You pronounce the H silently so it's Elena.

"The opponent AI in DOA6 can sometimes use Christie's old 7ppppp jab string from DOA4, therefore - much like Christie's 3k and 6k canceling to JAK stance - it must be a hidden move."

This is false. Though the AI sometimes uses it, the 7ppppp string - unlike 3k JAK and 6k JAK - was dummied out, making it impossible for the player to use.

Kasumi X Ryu

this was an old misconception from way way WAY back in the day but I clearly remember seeing hella Kasumi X Ryu fanart back then and it was very confusing, DOA2 was the latest DOA at that point and these characters only had 1 interaction( 2 if you count the victory screens), so why were there so many depictions of these 2 characters being all lovely dovey? i could not tell you why :/
Remember Valentine Yuniis tweet about DOA7 releasing in 2026 and then bayonetsing with DOA6U speculation. First one was tweeted on 10th of October, the second one on 10th of November, so what can we get on 10th of December? Another hint?

Valentine Yunii has me blocked on twitter for some reason lol. No idea why, as I've never interacted with them before in my life

@TheIndustrialCowboy oh I wouldn't worry about her, shes literally one of the most unreliable and uppity DOA players ive met, I wouldn't trust her to hold a penny for me xD. I feel she was just giving a random date, she's not privy to anything official despite her feeling as if she is.

I personally can see a 2026 date since thats 6 years since DOA6^.^
