Time is whenever, I've pre order this game years ago. Had a blast playing Project X Zone 1 & 2 (I missed out 2nd Game Pre Order Bonus Level that is based on Namco X Capcom, because I've spent $404 on DOAX3 Saikyou Edition at that time).

I have both games. I love the first one and beat it. The second game, however, was a bit overwhelming and I got stuck on the chapter where the enemies ambush the ship and there were time requirements.

Hot take. Not every RPG has to be open world and that some RPGs like Vesperia or even FF7 for the PS1, had something called an "Overworld" and was arguably a good formula that should stay / come back to at some point. Especially for JRPGs.

I'm good with overworld traversal being open world as long as faster travel & warping is added over time & some hidden goodies are sprinkled in here & there, just like in classic JRPGs with overworlds. But old school overworlds also shouldnt go the way of the dodo, especially by smaller budget or indie games... imo, we also shouldn't let prerendered backgrounds die out just like 8bit didn't die out.

I think it depends if it holds up or not. Like if the system was built upon it, the sacrifices isn't as severe. Open world these days get too ambitious and sometimes loses quality to fill a pseudo immersion when you have areas with open fields with nothing in it.

Because the VGA have games journalist as part of the jury, and these events are where player's voices matter less. If Chat GPT/A.I. was ever use, there would be waves of articles that A.I. is taking jobs away from those exact games journalist.

@Yuffie - There were two games I think that had censor changes with global releases.

In Berseria they had a scene where a child gets stabbed and hanging off a sword, but in the international release the child gets killed with magic instead.

In Xillia a certain character dies and does the middle finger. In the international release they change it to a index finger waving like a no.

Those two are the only ones that I can remember off the top of my head.

I think Zestiria at one point had some controversy with a certain character about being the heroine, certain dialogue changed, and the way the game was promoted, but because Zestiria sucked in general and didn't do so well, that controversy didn't last long I hear.

Agria's middle finger is actually restored in Xillia remastered they only censored the pipe

my guess is same goes for Berseria, use the censored child death scene but everything else is either untouched or restored

Unfortunately, it will be either be the retro collections from Capcom and Mortal Kombat. I'm surprised Fatal Fury got nominated, since that's new and the better game than any other.

Nah no way Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection will take it with all the backlash lol. They messed it up so bad with the online and the input lag. Shame, I was really hyped for it. Ngl, Fatal Fury got my vote for best fighting game of 2025. Game is severely underrated imo.

The thing about Punishere and Momiji DOA is that I don’t want to go on the attack, but they’ve given me no choice. To attack FSD, our star player and the competitive scene is a declaration of war for me, and when I strike I aim to make a connection and get it right the first time.

I dont care for either of them tbh, especially punishere who i feel is being an attention whore and using DOA as a way to get attention to his account when he's not a genuine passionate fan which annoys me. Same with DOA Momiji, its a slap in the face that all of a sudden they want to get in the DOA convo when they were legit mute before Ita passed away...

Its sad imo that while Itagaki passing has brought the DOA community closer and helped us connect more, it also attracts the attention seekers like him and luca and Reo who had nothing to say regarding DOA, but when they saw it as a chance to come up, they're turning it into a likes fest when thats not what its about: its about showing TN we as a community want another game in ode to Itagaki.
