So did anyone notice any of those "subtle changes" they - according to Team Ninja's Twitter - implemented after evaluating the alpha demo feedback yet?

Much of it I'm sure can't be 'shown', but requires actual play time control with. Thus, the reason Team NINJA will be stating what has changed.

Though, again, it does seem that the Power Blows don't have to be charged as much.

I literally just listed everything she has ever done in her story.... unless you count stripper-kicking that poor guy off the train.

You could say she is a supporting character to a supporting character. That's REALLY a minor role in story. Just what exactly are you looking for in character development? Some minor circus gags are probably the best the girl can hope for. At least it means she is doing something outside of chasing jann lee for once. She's got basically nothing to do with the doatec storyline at all, nor does she have any real motivation to be there outside of jann lee/gi.
As a Leifang fan, is it wrong for me to hope for some /real/ development?
She doesn't have to be a main character to get something interesting/fitting for her character to do.

So yeah, I don't get why you're pressing me on this. I just don't care for characters I like getting bullshit stories, it's just an opinion.

Zack's obviously doing some kind of taunt but what's going on with Lei Fang in this scene? It looks really weird with Zack not responding at all.

That's an extended parry animation.

ie, she got guard broken into a possible stance transition from zack and anticipated an attack. The only attacks available to my knowledge are his mid punch, mid kick, or throw from that stance. She threw out her parry because it would cover both strike options ideally and she was banking on those being more likely than a throw. Zack decided to be an asshole instead, cancel out of stance, and taunt.

In short, DOA.

Zack did a high level evasion taunt. I explained the taunt earlier.

As Rikuto said, Lei Fang player could have tried doing her advanced parry but not in time for the attack that was guarded, so it got buffered to the moment she could parry - the guard break animation where both feet were on the ground. She then tried to do some sort of :8::K: notation but it missed Zack's taunt.

What's with the Ronald McDonald outfit? Zack looks so fabulous, plus the taunt was completely top tier.
Screw Lei Fang anyway, I always hated her, I want to see Jann Lee and Helena.

That's a weird lookin' parry animation; it looks as if it triggered Zack's taunt. It almost looks as if she did hit successfully and that's the resulting animation. That's why I'm so confused.

I also didn't realize that I embedded an 11MB gif until I tried to open this thread on my phone... I'm editing it out.

lol. Doesn't it kinda remind you of Quanchi's trance move in MK?

It's Lei Fang's :7::K: which has been pretty useless because it's short range, leaves he backturned and they've never given her special back turn options (aside from being able to parry from BT, whoopee), and it does nothing special on hit.. I think the stagger it can cause pushes the opponent away so there's no way to follow up effectively.

It would work as a nice keepaway if it was less interruptable and a special mid (hops over lows), but its a high and often misses.

In short I hope they give her a lot more reasons to use this move!

I completely agree, I've never understood why she's had this kick. Even when I do land this hit, it does nothing for me and most of all when I do this kick it's usually on accident, unless I'm just messing around, otherwise I see no reason for this kick. I'd be happier if she just did a cartwheel kick from :7::K: like Gen Fu, Eliot etc...But I'd be willing to keep this kick if it does something special for her. Since Zack dodged it, we won't know for sure what properties it might have now or if it's just as useless as it was before and if she has a legit backturned game now.

Glad to see Lei Fang!
In some scene's thought she has a face (too) similar to Hitomi's.

Ditto on the :7::K:- it wasn't very useful in DOA4 but maybe it'll be different this time around.
