I think the main reason most people are looking at female guests is because females sell, espeially if this new guest was to be a DLC character rather than a base inclusion. You can bet your tits if a Tekken character came to DOA5LR/DOA6 as DLC it'd be either Asuka Kazama or Lili but a base inclusion could have either of the prior and Kazuya or Jin.
Guest characters are not always the case to that conclusion on any game because it's based on a certain popularity with which character is on a higher scale. For that situation, it's main characters or exceptionally fit overall on higher spark than most, and then followed by the most important sub characters they can think of. Gender has nothing to do with it. Female guests for a DOA community (FSD is a victim to it as well) is mostly involvement when people are trying to promote the game to a female-based cast of increasing even more higher importance than the other side of gender.
DOA is of no exception here. The issue is that a majority here (as well as other locations of fan demand) are mostly asking characters and finding ways on convergence to make this entire game into mostly female yet they won't tell you that because it's clearly obvious why. I absolutely love females as well, but it is a big issue when each upcoming prediction character people ask for is a female. It's the first thing on their mind for typical silly reasons and usually they complain if it's not a particular female and still complain when the typical male isn't a pretty boy for some type of fantasy, and then finally above it all, they use it as a phase of indoctrination that it's a must to include these characters and even promoting gender-bending characters because of.......no reason at all.
VF characters brought Akira first, then Sarah, then Pai, then Jacky. That particular order is the default 4 of a VF standard crew (with Kage being #5. Not because Aoi is more popular than Kage, which she is mind you, but because it's a standard protocol.) Harada will no doubt on his mind try to be on a sane level on what he wants to shoot out because his overall Tekken series are not based on cosmetic outlooks and likely won't be forced to pick-pocket on character choosing. He may follow standard protocols (Similar fashion to SFxTKN and PxZ.). If you want female guest characters, you want to look for a company who's series consist of female characters of high importance (FF7 Tifa because she fits and highly popular, Senran Kagura because of obvious typical reasons etc.) but when it comes to 2D/3D fighters, they are in a reasonable jam and people should not be surprised if it turned out to be males+females equally because even other companies have their standards.
Now if it were up to me on choosing between Tekken and Senran Kagura. I'd choose neither. But if we "had" to choose, I'd pick Tekken because their roster and approach is more equal than the typical "We need to add 6 more female guest characters and we need to add 8 more in the next game because i've been converted too."

Females are just more likely to be picked is all, I mean look at ALL the DLC characters... they're ALL female. Marie, Phase 4, Nyotengu, Naotora, there's has never been any male DLCs even costume packs are 90% female because as I said the females sell. I want more males, I really do, but male DLC is very unlikely males only seem to be added in base game inclusions like when a new disc is released.

Raidou, Ein and Leon are not guest characters. These are characters already within the DOA universe with Rig being the only new one with Jacky and Akira as guests. What people are asking for here is guest characters. When you speak of new complete DOA characters...possibly. Guest characters however do not fall on this category whether people are trying to force their ideas to companies to drag female guest only or not. (Unless it's company specifically that consist of that, which I hope to god that it isn't because that is forcing their ideals to a side where they are more sane on equal matters. Senran Kagura is a perfect example of forcing ideas and specific gender to a company.) Tekken is a company that won't be forced to drag female casts only. "Females are likely to be more picked." - Yes that is absolutely correct, however that still won't change the situation of company standards. If a male character was only picked 4x and a female of this roster was picked 221x, the company will still drag the male character there regardless because it's a standard protocol of inclusion (Tekken). Female sells is definitely besides the point here because there are also males within the DOA universe that are still within the roster itself, not just guests here.

My point is, DLC guest characters would be most likely be female, Male guests are likely to be included in base disc versions or new disc updates is what I mean. TN could have picked anyone from Samurai Warriors I mean, if you was gonna do a SW crossover you'd expect it to be Oda Nobunaga but instead they chose Naotora Ii despite there being way more males in SW universe.
For a Tekken guest, the obvious choice would be Kazuya Mishima or possibly even Jin Kazama both being poster boys for Tekken as a whole even being in the Namco Bandai intro on start up, but Team Ninja would probably ask for a female charcter like Asuka, Lili or even Alisa over any of the Mishimas unless Harada/Bamco themselves state they want kazuya etc to be included.
I don't want DOA to be a female fighter more than it is, I'm just going by what's more likely if such a thing was to happen.

- As I said again, DLC guest characters would only be female if the company of their choosing consists of that. They chose SW because it's right under those nose and picked a character on sheer coincidence that she can fight physically without weapons. The vast majority of SW uses weapons and are unfit to be in DOA (Unless they acquired a bio that they know combat physically.)

Depending on who goes to who first, Harada may be the one to go to Team NINJA first to promote character in games and he would pick characters on standard protocols levels as well as a female character because having it all males would be utterly pointless so of course there would be a female in there, but the point being is that he would pick the iconic, which mostly consists of main important characters to Tekken's overall story and then following the most important sub characters (If there is room for guest involvement.).

Probably already stated and may be a cliche answer but without a doubt Tifa would be my pick. I wanted her in it since doa2.
Perfect fit too. She specializes in martial arts and is damn sexy with an amazing chest. She was my first video game love and boy did i obsess over her.
Plus square enix doesnt shy away from her sex appeal.

Characters i would like to see in DOA personally.
- Jin Kazama.
i want jin to be in DOA because i think he would do really good, he fights really good close range with fast but strong jabs like momiji and i would love to see him and kasumi tag up as a tag team. also he would have a normal stance and a devil stance and his devil stance contains him having an air throw, him shooting a beam from the air and the ground and a different CB. his power launcher would look like the EWGF with a slow but powerful start up.
- Snow villiers fromFinalFantasy
Snow is a really goodlooking male videogame character and i think he should be in doa. he's a very hero-like type of person who has a great defense like leifang.
- Ezio Auditore
i would like to see him in doa because he's an assasin and because he looks and sounds myterious. he would fight with high speed and medium to low damage output because he's not that strong to me. he would be great at mixing up and would do good at spacing. he would also have good juggle and combo potential but be hard to use.
i would do some female characters but i think we have enough females already

I would like to see more males, I understand the females are more popular but I think TN makes majority of the male characters harder to use so people start using female characters so they can sell more DLC Ik it's a weird conspiracy theory but I really do think that

No but seriously the males are harder to get into. besides phase nyotengu there aren't really hard female characters to me. The rest is really easy to use.

Compared to most females yes (especially NaoNaoChan), phase is really unsafe and relies too much on teleports. And everything with her is on hit.
