Any announced changes for ryu in UDoA5?

3 H+K and all its variants have been changed to a new move that hits twice and is unsafe on block.
New mid, looks fairly fast and probably tracks.
Low throw Izuna, animation is the same as the low hold izuna.
He can cancel certain strings with 9P now.
New Helicopter kicks move
H+K,K,P is a new move

New mid, looks fairly fast and probably tracks. (if I recall correctly, MASTER said this was safe I'm not sure if it tracks though)
Low throw Izuna, animation is the same as the low hold izuna. (33H+P, standard throw and basic Izuna damage maybe less)
He can cancel certain strings with 9P now. (perfect for last minute evades/cancels/mix ups)
New Helicopter kicks move (while rising H+K, can get in the way of low moves to 4H+K, unsafe)
H+K,K,P is a new move


basically what Silver has said here but a few edits on MASTER has said and the move properties that are currently known (this may change by release though)

Also; 3PPP no longer knocks back so you can carry on a string without cancelling :)

I recall Master saying that 3H+K was also now changed to the new double-strike 4PK move (despite it being totally separate from the original 4PK attack with different animation & frame advantage).

Either way, I'm still very ticked about the 4PK nerf. That was one of Ryu's few good, legitimate strings.

We should play Ryu in DOA5U first before we think what bad is or was good is imo. Many people say for example Ryus 66K is bullshit totally useless or his 45T. When I play I have then totally other thoughts than others. I have so different playstyle and I use everything what is useful in this situation. There are better moves than 4PK If I am honestly because I sometimes use 4PK. If some moves are bad , I use other moves , in that case I learn more strategies and moves which are very useful.

46T can be really good if the opponent has you against the wall and does an unsafe move:

46T, 6PK, 236P, 8KK - something like 78 damage I think, pretty decent for a 6 frame throw.

EDIT: it's 76 damage or you can do 46T, 6PK, PP4PK for a 65 damage +20 untechable

I told TN, specifically Shimbori, to take out 33k animation out of Ninpo (Which is 2K in ninpo) and to swap it out for 1k animation that puts him back in Ninpo. This way Hayabusa has two move options that put I'm back in ninpo which would be 6P4 and 2k4. I said The ninja slide will never be used if left the same. I literally told him "TAKE IT OUT, I dont want to see that ninja slide there and replace it with this move" I'm guessing he got the hint when he opened his eyes and seemed to have said that this was a good idea.

That could be a good chance for ongyoin to become more reliable. It's lack of any decent low pokes has proved infuriating. Thanks for sending in that word, man.

But what's the point of 1K, with or without Ninpo?
There's not a lot, but it has a few uses. For example, with proper spacing, you can poke a charging opponent with it and follow it up with the charged P guard break.

Nope, just the WR H+K and the mysterious new mid P mentioned above.
