In the end I couldn't resist to put my priority on Tengu and just after on the return of an old stage...

Yeah...no way this is happening guys. lol. The community apparently has very different priorities. In order for this to work everyone needs to at least have decided on what they want added (i.e. characters or stages...say no to costumes they can always be added later).

If we decided on a character I'd say Tengu. If it's a stage then Aerial Gardens.

Popped in DOA2U yesterday and played Time Attack with Tengu for a few hours. I love 2U Tengu and I love his badass shirtless outfit (C3) so much too.

So much fun playing Tengu in that game. 2U Tengu and his 2U costumes need to come back in DOA6. Maybe just add some frames to the startup of 8K though, lol. Add in his DOA4/DOAD moves too.

Can we maybe get this thread moved to the DOA5U general forum? With DOA5A on the horizon and the possibility of character DLC, I think it's a good time to restart the Tengu campaign.

But no, really. Keep him a guy. Part of his charm is that he's not sexy/popular.

I also agree that Alpha and Tengu should be tag partners with unique throws/intros/outros.

I still believe the "Son of Tengu" approach is the best direction for Tengu's future involvement in the series, especially if you want to tie in Ninja Gaiden 4 to DOA6 (or even better, expand on the existing DOA5 storyline as a prelede to said tie-in... but that's wishful thinking).

Let's face it, Bankotsubo is dead canonically. Why not have a more ruthless legacy that is worthy of even Ninja Gaiden's extremities of violence, but still resemble the Tengu we knew?

Trust me you don't want a female Tengu. Team Ninja went with a proper Tengu look for Bankotsubo, so the same would likely happen to any female Tengu they might create. In other words, you're not gonna get a pretty girl with wings.
