Random lobbies are weird as hell...... This is kinda the reason I never enter random lobbies haha I'd rather play ranked I always think I'm not good enough xD

I don't think I'm good enough to play ranked so I stick to lobbies. xD I also have a short fuse and ranked is no good for my blood pressure.

I prefer playing Ranked for a multitude of reasons:

• It's annoying as heck to be forced to wait when I only want to play the game.
• Constantly running into players that quit the game after losing.
• I run into weirdos who beat their meat at the sight of seeing girls getting beat up instead of fighting me.
• Bad rap music blaring in the background distracting me from the match (or any background mic activity really).
• Most rooms are extremely elitist against certain players (for instance, asking me to kick one of my friends .V.)

Lobbies are annoying in my opinion, which is why I play Ranked since I get back-to-back fights with new players almost every time without the hassle of spectating boring matches that put me to sleep. Problem is that Ranked match activity is INCREDIBLY LOW. All that are left are boosters that grind their way to U for no reason by canceling every single fight or players that are actually there to play the blasted game (which is very rare on the PSN side). Lobby Fight is the very definition of a weird online moment <_<;

Weird. I love joining your lobbies when I see 'em. Usually nice people, 4-5 slots so rounds o by quick. nice settings, decent connections, etc.

you can stagger escape from faint and SDS, usually people block but I guess some still prefer to hold.

And that last thing you listed Ghosty, the whole some people being elitist to certain players. That's the main thing that puts me off random lobbies. I'll join friends' lobbies and stuff because I know the people there but randoms I usually never join.

They held right away, though. They would have had to do multiple rotations and a separate direction+H input in a split second.

oh, so THAT's what that is. Sometimes i'll que up against someone and all they'll do is stand there in a bikini and spam K. Always leaves me head scratching.

For some reason I laughed at the time where we fought because I remebered your YT videos and then this guy who made the videos is really here xD. That was really funny matches and I dont want to lose the memories and this feeling. Remember our Guard Breake of Doom. I laughed laughed dude. Sorry man I couldnt fight for some reason I dropped my combos with Akira and yeah xD. We can play lobby matches but where only our friends there no random lobbys. 1 - 5 max

Thing is I haven't been in the mood to play anything on my PS3 recently. Perhaps next time I get on I'll invite you to a lobby. As for videos, I'll try and see how long I can work on one without Sony Vegas crashing on me.

Okay so i was playing some DoA5U last night, searching for lobbies. After about two slow minutes i find one with a matching connection. *Fight 4 Fun* it read with just 1/8 players in the lobby. I thought to myself "This fellow is alone & is probably bored waiting for players to join his lobby" so i joined.

The eyes of my Jann Lee avatar sits below the eyes of his Kasumi avatar. My "ready" status goes neon indicating to him that i am ready to brawl.

*Silence*

*repeatedly toggles ready status on/off to try & get the message across*

*Still silence*

Currently headset-less i type a lazy can't-be-stuffed-using-proper-grammar message from my PS3 browser using a dual shock controller "R u there m8?"

Still nothing, but as I am about to leave the lobby i hear that satisfying "ready" flashing sound that tells me he is there & ready to bash.

Finally, the cogs are in motion & we're ready to rumble.

I select Jann Lee & he selects Kasumi. The fight starts & i do a little back dashing to see how my opponent responds.....he doesn't, so i go into attack with a few kicks, punches & throws which seemed far too easily to pull off then normal. After knocking chunks off his health meter without any trouble i back away anticipating an attack......i get nothing & Kasumi still stands there idle doing absolutely nothing while i continue to pile on the hurt. I think to myself "This guy must be lagging or something as he is not moving". Without dragging the clearly dead rubber match along, i finish the fight quickly against my motionless opponent *feeling just that little bit cheap & guilty doing so".

We return to the lobby & i send him a message

Me: "Sorry about the cheap win there. Did you lag or something? You weren't moving"

Him: "No lag, GG!!! "

*You've been kicked from the lobby*

Bewildered & dumbfounded by this strange behavior i sent him another message.

Me: "Just wondering why you booted me from the lobby? I got the feeling you were letting me win, or was it lag on your part?"

Him: "No reason, GG!! "

Me: "So........can i come back into your lobby now? It's just you in there anyway right? Don't you want someone to spar with?"

Him: "I'm fine here by myself "

Me: "Haha, well, okay then..... thanks for the fight.....that's definitely understandable.....haha"

About a week ago I kept coming across players that would just sit there. It was all in one night, about 3 people would fight for a few seconds and sit there. After the fights I'd switch to spectator, and then they'd hit ready. So I figure "okay, now they must be fighting." I'd hit ready, then when the match started they'd fight for a few seconds then again would just sit there.

Last night there was this really nice guy who was new to DOA and he was like "wow!" and all that and he didn't mind losing and he was complimenting my combos and was like "I'm hoping to get better" and I figure "I like this guy's spirit, I'll add him as a friend." About half an hour later out of no where he says "man, my fiance just called it off... ain't that some shit.." and I had no clue what to say so I said I had a headache (which I did) and was tired and ggs and goodnight and left. x~x

Then earlier I ran into some Japan-obsessed people (the title for the lobby was half English half Japanese kana, seriously? English PSN doesn't let you use kana as far as I know so they must have had Japanese keyboards) that were getting really bitter because I was beating them but I already made a status here about it. The one said that I said "I let you win" to the one fight I lost which I clearly hadn't, it was no where in the chat thing, wtf. They were being little bitches and I wanted to tell them off so badly but just said ggs and left.

I was in a lobby with one good player and a bunch of not so good players and these two fickle pickles kept typing in all caps and telling other players to beat the people that beat them, then once THOSE people they were cheering on beat them, they'd tell other players to beat the people that they were JUST cheering on. That's what the "GO GET HIM" part was. They went from cheering me on to beat a guy that was beating them, once I beat them they were cheering on others to beat me, when that good player beat me and then them, they started cheering on someone else to beat that good player. It was ridiculous.

I was fighting some girl in DOA 1v1 lobby, me and her started going back and forth and it was pretty enjoyable. She was pretty fun to listen to on the mic too and she had a good playstyle. Like 10 games later I'm guessing her family memeber came to her and said ''There doing it again'' and she said ''Not again!'' and she left right? So im just fucking around in the match doing Ryu's taunts and then I hear the most disgusting thing I ever heard in my whole entire life.
''Baby we still old but we got it..'' ''Gimmie some of your old sugar'' ''You got the grip of a man who took a nap'' and some weird sounds and static. Then I heard a scream and the girl who I played with said ''Grandma and Grandpa stop DOING it in my room!'' (Worst part is I think they sneaked there way into her room after she left) and im like:

I was literally about to leave right I hold the playstation home button praying to God that I shutdown my PS3 quick and take a long shower, instaed when I pressed the home button fucking PS3 decided to do that fucking infinte loading ring shit at the top and wouldn't load so I started running to my PS3 to stop it and I heard this
