I saved $20 just to buy it..... and maan, resisting from buying more DOA costumes almost costed me LOL SC2 is epic.

No, no, not going to happen, she will not be around 10 Dollars, I would definitely not buy her for 10 Dollars lol. Just because she wasn't already in the game doesn't mean she wasn't already plan to be in. The character was already planned to be in from the start and the updates are going to not be a big deal considering it's just one character and one stage without Halloween material. She'll be either free or like mentioned earlier- the price of the core fighters. Traditionally most DLC characters are 4.99 even with an update- for most fighting games. There's no way she'll be 10 dollars--- not worth it.

That would be amazing and quite unbelievable.
Charging people for costumes but not for entire character is something I appreciate, as costumes are optional and up to the players.
But I doubt this will happen.
This would make a nice Xmas gift to the community!

Well, yeah. You have to patch it so that if someone else chooses her online the gamedata is there so you can actually fight them, lol. They would just load her on there, then lock her up until you paid.
Looks like Uncle Bokuho has yet another frame data guide to make, since I'll be testing her out.
$10 for a character is nothing. That really wouldn't bother me.
Fuck. They could slap a $100 price tag on Tengu and I'd still stay up all night waiting for them to update the XBL Marketplace with his DLC pack and download him immediately without complaint.

Makes sense. That's what most games (including fighters) do with gameplay altering DLC like new weapons or characters or whatever. Think Marvel vs Capcom, Injustice or Mortal Kombat.
I'm sure they will. They will likely patch the game to lock you out until you download the free compatibility pack and then you'll have to pay to actually play her.
That's what I see happening.

Though, I already know a few people that would pay to play her. If TN can, I don't see why they wouldn't. They gotta make money off her somehow.
Heck they're charging $2 a costume, $14 a pack. I don't think it's hard to believe they'll place a price on her considering the amount they're charging for costumes.
I also highly doubt they have her English dub done, her tag win animations & openings done, her combo challenge and command training done... to be honest I don't even think they would have these things done as I'm typing this.
You think they're going to do all that work, to then go "Here, have an entire character free! for nothing! one that we've worked on after the games release!" they aren't working for free... I think they should place a price on her.
In my opinion, expecting her to come free is ludicrous lol what character has ever just randomly been patched into a game after release for free? I can't think of any fighter that's done that. ( Apart from TTT2, but that's because all the characters were up and ready from the games release and they were pre-order bonuses... so to me, it's a different story as they were already fully completed upon the games launch. )
Of course, I'm not against her being free. If she is, win for everyone! I just think it's stupid to EXPECT her to be free...

She'll probably cost money, the only fighter I can think of that didn't charge for characters was tekken, and that's just cause of Harada.

I can see both sides and would pay for her regardless but no matter what they'll still make $$$ off of her be it the F2P or DLC outfits.

She'll be free. If history is anything to go by, TN doesn't charge for updates.

They said themselves cosmetic changes you will have to pay for (outfits) while gameplay changes (stages and characters, they specifically said stages and characters) would be free. It might be foolish, but I trust them. The new stages were free, the original Lorelei will be free. It's not like they actually have to do any special tag intros/outros or throws, they probably won't to keep the patch's size to a minimum. Command training doesn't take any creativity outside of which moves to leave out and which to keep in. Combo challenge seems like the thing that would take the most effort, but even then I have faith she'll be free.

People I want remember that Razor's Edge version WII:U has Momiji and Kasumi like free DLC characters through patches, with their voices, outfits, and missions included.
Sure, this was for the Japan (after all they didn't pay for the DLC outfits of NG3:RE, on the opposite of the Xbox and PS3 players), but anyway constitute a previous case for Team Ninja.
Maybe we will pay for Marie Rose, but don't act like it's impossible that she could be completely free.
