Yeah but never when you have in your control except in small parts.
I'm pretty sure the final fight he's unmasked. Don't have much time to appreciate it though because of MILLION FUCKING CRYSTAL FIENDS! fuck that boss fight.

You play with him unmasked twice in the vanilla version, he unmasks himself like 15 times and he is unmasked in the back cover of the game lol

You give them too much credit. To think to add a maskless selectable outfit slipped their minds. I seen devs forget worse.

playing NGS2 and im reminded of a few things.
Black Spider dogs are faster than their actual owners and would beat the majority of the DOA cast. that said i want one as a joke character in the next game, fast as lighting but cant take a punch worth shit, cant be hit by highs unless jumping, cannot counter. make it happen TN!

NG3 Vanilla Gameplay with RyuXSama was fun but man we got raped lol
id personally start it out fairly similar, but with some changes. Ryu is training Sanji would enemies attack Sanji looks back to see Ryu has disappeared and then the game starts the basic tutorial with you playing as Sanji while Ryu's voice can be heard giving directions. if you lose he shows up like a badass saving Sanji at the last moment, if you defeat them all Ryu praises him and you get a special item. then from there you switch to Ryu and they go to investigate what happened.
Kasumi/Ryu isnt happening because A.he's abusive to her if she doesn't obey and i want a lot less of that and B.TN keeps establishing that Ryu/Irene are together with non subtle hints that everyone seems to ignore.

Ironic considering that art comes from the 360 NGII.
I wish they had the NGS2 one, it looks a lot better
