I'd like to see some elements from Blair Dames costume design incorporated into DoA.
In particular, the combination of the thigh-high boots and the thong work really well together. Its stuff like that, that I want to see more of.
The collar and the hairstyle are very nice too, but not as important as the aforementioned combination. I definitely wouldn't want to see blue hair in DoA though (even though I think it works for Blair). I prefer a natural color.
Its too bad the EX characters disappeared from recent fighting games.

I like that first version, where it covers more, and looks like an actual costume.
I actually wouldn't mind that, so long as it's not just a thong in the back with the ass hangin out. If its actually a full suit, that's be pretty badass.

Nah, you gotta have the thong. lol. Its a big part of the design appeal for many people.
Im sure someone like Cammy, wouldn't be as popular without one.
You're right. Purple isnt far from blue.
I dont like Ayane or anime, so I prefer more natural colors. I just accept a large portion of the DoA community are probably big fans of at least one of those things though.

Okay, so I've been thinking.
A Fiend Pack.
Have the doa cast be turned into monsters. For simplicity's sake, I've been concepting a "theme" for each characters transformation.
Some of them are blatantly obvious what they should turn into (jann lee, Hitomi, Helena), others I had to hobnob a concept from different details (Mila, Bayman), others I made up from scratch (Leon, Lei Fang)
For example
Bayman - Crustacean, hands turned into pincers. Kind of like a cross between a crab and a scorpion.
Helena - Banshee/Siren. Obviously.
Leon - Think like a cross between Tyrant R and Bane's demon form. I'm imagining a titan like creature, with steaming organic piston arms. Make him look very volatile.
Mila - Kind of an insectoid lion. Like Kazuma's third form from Scryed, if you've ever seen that. But have the hair be a huge, flowing mane, like Risty of Queen's Blade.
Hitomi - A bear lol.
Jann Lee - Humanoid eastern dragon.
La Mariposa - Humanoid gypsie moth/butterfly. Legs have no feet, just taper off into spindles, wings down to resemble a mantle/cap.
Ayane - a female cross between Tengu and Omega, a demonic entity.
Hayate/Ein - nude jelly form, like Alpha.
Ryu - his blue skinned Fiend form from the first Ninja Gaiden.
Christie - a serpentine figure, not just a snake, but also like a hydra or...whats that called, lymer, wait, no, Lamia.
Kokoro - I'm thinking like a wood nymph, a living cherry blossom tree. That, or the Ring girl lol.
Lei Fang - I'm iffy, but leaning towards a watery being (playing on her fighting style flowing)
Gen Fu - Stone Golem (think the stone army in that one burial chamber of the chinese emperor)
Eliot - Steel Golem (think a sleek metal creature, with sloping/swooping details, indicating speed lines.) In contrast with Gen Fu's blocky stone form.
Rachel - either Alma, or something more "gentle" and plant like, like this. I think it would be a nice contrast to how she usually comes across as kinda evil.
Characters I still have no idea for, or don't want to go with the most obvious choice:

Thoughts? Would you buy a Fiend pack like this?

Sounds like Dead or Alive meets Bloody Roar except replace the animals & reptiles with fiends. Speaking of which, anyone remember that underrated gem? Developers Sammy had a unique, refreshing concept going on back then. With a simple tap of the X button you could transform female soldiers into punching leopards, schoolgirls into rabbits & surfers into chameleons.
Imagine DoA with this same concept? Hitomi transforming into some fox in a torn karate gi or Bass into a grizzly bear in a wrestling belt? Give TN this idea & they would have Lei Fang altered into a bunny, but don't get too excited the end result would probably just be this:

Yes, a Fiend pack is a good idea and I would definitely buy it. A theme pack like that would present a chance for even the guys to get some interesting costumes.
I would be especially keen if the guys look something like this....
And the girls look something like this...
(Edit: the above example would work better with a non-human skin tone to emphasize its demonic nature and differentiate it from Helenas Halloween outfit).
It would require quite a lot of work on TN's part to make the outfits, especially if they had to swap a characters existing hands for pincers or moving parts on "steaming organic piston arms" etc.
Potentially awesome, for sure.

I prefer less armored male clothing and something more natural, light and airy.
Leifang used to have blue hair in DOA1 and some versions of DOA2 before officially making her brunette.

but....those aren't monsters at all or anything. those are just the same thing you always ask for "regular character, with skimpy clothing". we already have that.
just putting horns on the head isn't enough. I'm talking full on fiend/monstrous transformations.
as for things like pincers and pistons, I don't see it being too big a deal. Just make the pincers big enough to cover up the normal hand rigs, rather than needing to rerig for the pincers. As for the piston arms, im just thinking volcanic vents on the elbows, always emitting steam/smoke.

Something that TN hasn't done yet (in terms of full packs) is a "Cocktail Party" pack with gowns, tuxedos and frous-frous. That would be the last DLC for me.

Absolutely agree, it's been 2 week i'm requesting that XD
(Even if i would like to have DLC until the end of DOA5U...)
I'm not so found of a "monster" transformation, it would not fit DOA IMO (even if DOA and NG are linked, those 2 universe are pretty different)
But having bayman like this...

What I'd like to see is Marie Rose in a full bikini like this one. Size: About the same as Hitomi's 14.
