GGs today to everyone I faced (except Esjay and his fraudulent play). Excellent session with 7 people playing overall.
This is what I like to see for DOA5U in Toronto. A mixture of new and more experienced players just doing their thing. When playing newer people I notice that I tend to observe my own fundamentals more instead of just "going at it".

I'm also impressed at how Jermaine has been trying to practice the stuff that I have shown to him from my notes. He's got a good mind for the game! Harry has also come along very well himself and think he'd have no problem assisting any newer players to my scene.

Good luck to everyone attending Northern Battles XII this Sunday, May 4th. I hope I see a few new players there this time duking it out!

Very GGs to everyone at Northern Battles XII today. Was very glad to see a couple new faces trying their hand at their first tournament! Jermaine and Lawrence did pretty decently today. I'll try and see if I can give a bit more tutoring to them in preparation for TTT TORYUKEN III later this month. Jermaine in particular seems to be picking up the game nicely! Congrats to AngryWorm for claiming victory and for the excellent casual matches beforehand (Dude, your Hitomi is just unparallelled!). Congrats to Sandman for runners up! Also great job to StrikerSashi on commentary today! It was entertaining lol!

Teaching someone else Kokoro really makes it clear how fraud my Kokoro play is. I ended up explaining so many setups that are very useful that I don't use at all. I just rely on gimmicks. :v I was listing common mistakes and was thinking in the back of my head, "Ohoho~, I do all of these."

ALRIGHTY! The tournament we've been waiting for! TTT's Major: TORYUKEN III (on SUNDAY, MAY 18TH, 2014), is fastly approaching and is looking to be an awesome event (18-19+ people potentially)! DOA5U will also get stream time from 4PM onwards! This tournament is looking seriously hype at the moment! *Note it's not being held at A&C World*

Here's a rundown of the details:

Venue: Holiday Inn Yorkdale, 3450 Dufferin Street, Toronto, Ontario
Doors open at 12PM
Registration starts at 12PM - 2PM (Tournaments will commence once the TD is ready)
Venue Fee: $10
Entry Fee: $10
All games are: Best 3 out of 5 sets (may be 2 out of 3 if there are time constraints)
Double Elimination Format
Recommended Health setting: SMALL health (270 HP)
Note: Dojo stage banned
Time Limit: 60 seconds
Character Lock for Winner only
