The bunny/angel bikinis to me are the worst swimwear in the game IMO, I only used them when I was new to DOA during the Core Fighters era. Something about weird looking fur and bunny ears strangely attached to the hair of the girl doesn't seem worth making it for the other girls. I'm kinda glad TN took responsibility and didn't include it with any of the post Ultimate new girls.

I only say this for the sake of completeness. If the other girls have to have them, it seems unfair that the others don't (which is exactly how I feel about doax3)
I can kind of see why they didn't give the new girls one, Momiji, Nyo, and Rachel would all be clipping disasters with theirs and you'd have to change their hair style to avoid it, even if you don't like bob momiji and loose hair rachel....Phase is out of the question, because she'd be completely non distinguishable from Kasumi, and it would cause a lot of confusion. Plus if I recall, they were I think preorder exclusives back when they were first unveiled.

Christie has some costumes where she uses her shorter alternate hairdo as opposed to her standard one, nothing is stopping them from doing this in this case. Also, the preorder bunny suits from base 5 was divided between the different girls; some got angel others got devil, it was only when 5 ultimate came out that they each got both (except Momiji and Rachel). Good point about Phase 4 though...

I'm still considering what Valentines actually means to Team Ninja/Japan. >__> They are focusing more and more on the Japanese market with lots of anime or Japanese games related stuff. Regarding anime/manga/games Valentines is typically about school girls giving (at best handmade) chocolate to the boy they like. The boys answer a month later on "White Day" with usually white cholocate if they like the girl in return. I really think it might be related to this tradition. That would mean it could be another school themed DLC pack just with Valentines themed accessories (like lotsa hearts).
Then there's just the usual slutty or overly cute stuff, just Valentines themed. But if the DLC goes in this direction why would they include all the men in this? I really can't imagine Team Ninja giving all men slutty or overly cute costumes matching the girls.

I said before that when it comes to the girls, I expect the older girls (the ones > 20 years old) will get the typical sexy/slutty outfits while the younger girls get "cute" stuff. As for the men, that's definitely less obvious, I'm guessing the older men (Bass, Bayman, Leon and Gen Fu) will wear some fancy suits while the younger guys (with the exception of Elliot) will wear the more revealing Magic Mike style stuff.

They've gotta stick SOMETHING on Alpha, curious what. Even TN wouldn't color her pink and leave it at that for $2. Whatever she gets will likely be a jelly version of something another character's getting which doesn't work with skimpy skin-tight outfits. Imagine a bikini on Alpha she'd look exactly the same lol
An opportunity to make money through costume DLC.
I am actually looking forward to the new pack, I have the costume pass. Although they are never spectacular as a new player I really enjoy the costumes, they add a real variety to play and even when they are silly there is always a kind of childish silliness about them which just seems to make me smile.

I believe that this is honestly false. Because again, we are judging the developers and not the company. We cannot hold Team Ninja responsible for everything and pretend Koei Tecmo gets away scotfree and pretend that they aren't riding this as hard as they can.
I honestly believe that they have some idea of how to design the characters alternate outfits(see their alternative main outfits, not DLC in any capacity) but after that...well, they end up under the thumb of Koei Tecmo to make bikinis, bikinis and more bikinis.

Yes! The default outfits are the best who ever designed them has to be brought back for DOA6.
