News New character is Naotora (Sengoku Musou)

I am not. The way Naotora moves is of similarity to some sort of Beat-Em-Up game with a Moo Moo meter. Realism differs greatly because the VF characters motions are converted to DOA, even their character model were rescratched from a DOA model and basically inserted the VF character moves there and not a direct port. The way this character is moving is like some sort of anime game and it is unclear if it was a direct port or just tossed a bunch of random SW moves and called it a day. However there are other sorts of things that look odd...Zack going into a Blanka ball and Helena refloating an opponent from back turned slaps that wouldn't exactly be real in human standards yet they are in fact, human.

That's more understandable. Yeah NAo is much less realistic by that standard.

They feel to me like the Japanese version of Assassin's Creed. There's some good stuff to be found in there and if they really took their time to refine that foundation and improve on it in meaningful ways, there is great potential to work with. But unfortunately they over-saturate the franchise and seem to misfire with increasingly confounding decisions that detract from the integrity of the respective games.

Its not all bad. Its mostly just that every single numbered release ALSO gets an Xtreme Legends (expansion ) and Empires (tactical spinoff) when that should all be in the base game or saved for the proper sequel.

The biggest fuckup was six from what I hear.

Like any other character with weapons past MAYBE Zhen Ji...and she would just be like Nyotengu in personality...so nothing different there either.

Zhenji is probably the worst example since she's one of the only characters who doesn't fight at all.

But there's dozens of others who could have fit better.

As for worse..Bao Sanning maybe. Cat girl who fights with a yoyo.

None of the girls in Dynasty Warriors fought at all past Wang Yi(and that's kinda since she was more of a commander-type if I remember correctly) and Sun Shang Xiang(canonically...and even then, she fights with a bow and arrow in the books).

Bao Sanning isn't even real since she came from a spinoff book about Guan Suo and it's canonicity is heavily debated.

Glad we didn't get a 5th VF character, a 4th Kasumi, a 3rd Hayate, a 3rd mimic, a 2nd genderbent character, etc.

Could have been so much worse aesthetic or gameplay wise. There hasn't been an interesting new DoA character overall since Marie Rose so the bar isn't really high.

Speak for yourself dude. I've been waiting for the longest of Nyotengu to get 2 things:

A) An actual name
B) Her overall ties to Bankotsubo and Ryu Hayabusa.

FYI zhurong is the only female who was actually a real (and capable) fighter/commander.

In order to bring it it line with all of the other icons, the eyes should likely be larger in proportion to the face, and the actual face shape should be more square. I would look at the other character icons and try to mimic that.

Eh. Bungie said there is a version of Nicole that's canon to halo but theyve never done anything with her.

I wish they'd give the character to team ninja entirely so they can just drop the "spartan" part and have her return as DOAs first real female powerhouse.
