@Xhominid The Demon Within @Raansu i get what both of y'all are saying. im gonna take this L as me not getting the point i was trying to make across coherently and i don't think me trying to pitch why i think a reboot is a good idea is worth any time and effort because really it doesn't belong in this thread.

I mean....DoA5 was the reboot. The game took a completely different approach both visually and mechanically and DoAD completely redid the story.
Not really. Dimensions was more a retcon than a reboot, alot of the same things happened but they made things make sense and added more train tracks to the established story line since in previous games the story barely made sense and you had to play arcade ladder, and even then you could hardly understand the character's motives and what was going on besides cutscenes and such.
The only thing I didn't like was how Ryu was lumped into the ninja's darker, more personal battles. He ruined the hate filled vengeance angle Kasumi had with Raidou by making it seem like she was too weak to do it alone, and Ayane's battle with genra was supposed to be 1 on 1, Hayate helping her AND ryu helping took away that dark personal drama that the battle had in DOA3 which I hated.
DOA5 just ditched the anime look and went for a more realistic image and added mechanics to make it more current at that time.

Agreed. Dimensions unfortunately took away some of the agency that the main ninja women originally had. Also to be honest, he's a fun character, but Hayabusa is totally the Poochie of Dead or Alive. He's just the infinitely powerful Mary Sue who's stronger and better than all the other fighters and could solve their problems if he's not busy doing more important stuff.
"ONE: Hayabusa needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a dimension where he fights a Tengu.
TWO: whenever Haybusa’s not in a storyline, all the other characters should be asking ‘Where’s Ryu?"

Indeed. But it also made it more believable taking in mind the amount of power Raidou and Genra/Omega have at that time and Kasumi and Ayane being teenagers kunoichi. I like female empowerment and personal battles, but not all fights should follow the shônen manga treatment.
Yeah, DOATEC/M.I.S.T hasn't cloned him yet because they can't achieve his capture x'D
I see your point on that but even then, Kasumi has proven she can handle herself in tough fights, she's been able to fight off ninja assassins after her for years, she's fought alpha 152 and brought down Phase 4 in DOA5 and she's defeated everyone in DOA1 besides Ryu who didn't compete in the retcon, she's definitely not a pushover. But I guess I can see why they added Ryu since other than that, he has no actual purposes in the DOA plot besides assistance

I actually think Kasumi single-handedly beating Raidou makes more sense, story-wise. It's a really good example of her being, canonically, the "best" ninja, hence MIST/DOATEC's obsession with her. Kasumi is to DOA what Ryu is to Street Fighter: the biggest badass to justify all these different bad guys being obsessed with them. If there's nothing acutely remarkable about her fighting potential shown in the games, then all the clones seem kind of random.

Tournament's contestants aside, all of that was after she defeated Raidou, so... And yeah, I think Dimensions's Story has a think about making a damn sense about Hayabusa involvement on the plot. I hope they do something similar with Momiji and Rachel in possibles side chapters with her DLCs in 6 or the plot of 7 if they're included, but without overshadowing Kasumi and Ayane in the process.
But she isn't, that spot goes to Hayabusa because Team Ninja consideres him his Super Hero. But like I said, if you can't have the best, take the second best.
Whatever, we all know that Hayate is the real weakling of the plot. I still don't know why Project Epsilon is a thing x'D

Yesterday, the official website has been updated with the latest news. But I don't understand why TN still doesn't show the "Sweat" stage in stage list. It was a joke for me at first, but finally I really begin to wonder if they "hide" it just because they know that a lot of fans will be upset by this questionable choice to bring back this stage. Whatever the reason, it's weird. What do you think?
I think Sweat is a variation of the Muscle stage.

Sweat is fine by me. I liked the stage in 5, and they have reworked the stage and the music. I don't mind urban stages, but I understand people wanting bigger and more diverse stage. Let's hope some DLCs make amend for that, and if possible some being free.

Come On n ! Sweat was the worst stage in DOA history along with Street! and they brought it back in DOA6 is mind boggling to me ! Of all the stages they could have picked from DOA1 to DOA4 they picked Sweat !! I can’t deal
