Usually I go for grapplers, so I play Wolf in VF, Potemkin in GG, Tager in BB, Blue Mary/Clark/Daimon in KOF, etc, etc. Right now I'm interested in Tina.

Thanks, man
Tina is a good choice, she’s not that difficult but she can be a bit of a challenge overall. Do you play on PS4 or Xbox or PC?

Hello FSD. My name is Zompactou and I'm not gonna lie, I'm not exactly the best DOA player, or fighting game player around but I do enjoy the genre regardless. I'm not the best player at combos, which mostly I just press buttons, due to my horrible muscle memory, but I can hold my own nonetheless. I don't usually play online due to my system being connected to WIFI but I do enjoy watching offline and online competitive play
How I usually practice is by practicing against the CPU at level 8 difficulty (or Legend difficulty) every single day.

I know I come across as an unusual player, but I hope I will be welcome into your awesome community. :)

Trust me you aren't the most unusual player we have on the forum lmao

Welcome aboard! You should consider getting your PS4 hooked up with a LAN cable so you can join in on some lobby matches sometime. With the beta coming out this weekend there will be a pretty big surge in activity and a great opportunity to learn!

Thank you! I will see what I can do about that, hopefully I will get everything set up in time for this weekend, fingers crossed. :thumbs up:

Hi, I'm Jyu.

My story with Dead or Alive come mainly from DOA 2 Dreamcast version, a game I played a lot due having similarities with Virtua Fighter, my main 3D FG franchise until VF 5.

After that I met a friend with a Xbox and I played a lot with him to DOA 3 and DOA 2 Ultimate. Since I was Karate practicioner I quickly fell in love with Hitomi (I also was Makoto player back in SF 3 and Kazuya player in Tekken).

I almost didn't play to DOA 4 and I skip DOA 5 vanilla for a long time, just to buy DOA 5 Ultimate and play again with Hitomi and Kokoro (due Bajiquan, like Akira from VF, my main character there).

I will keep both Hitomi as main character and Kokoro as sub in DOA 6 so I hope to get along and having fun.

Hey every one, Cerberux here. Been a long time fan of DOA (since the beginning on PSONE) and finally decided to join a community of other fighters. Looking forward to getting to know you guys and sharing knowledge and strategies to become the best fighter I can be!

Purchased DOA 6 on PS4 few days ago and I'm looking forward to get bodied by you guys lol. Scrub D player here. My picks so far are Leifang and Hitomi. Leifang is tough but weirdly enough I won more with her so far. 40% compared to Hitomi's 35%. Not the same sample size tho. 44 matches with Leifang vs 28 with Hitomi. Will see what happens when I play 50 matches with both or more.

I'm trying Hitomi atm because it's hard to apply offensive pressure with Leifang and Hitomi has a better range as well. She isn't a better character I think. Just more new-player friendly and very straight forward if you know the fundamentals. Also I can't take full advantage of Leifang's holds. Holding is hard for me atm. The special hold is all I can do with some success. I won't stop playing with Leifang tho since her style is still my favorite. Just need to be more advanced in the game to use her better.

After finishing Hitomi with good amount of matches, I will try Ayane and see how well I do with her. I'm curious about her.
Which other characters you recommend me to try? I don't like grapplers btw so I won't try them. I mostly want a character with good range and can apply offensive pressure. Having safe moves and good lows would be a huge plus of course.

Whats up LeiFang009! Welcome to FSD. Glad to have ya here. If you're looking for rushdown I'd say Rig, Kasumi, Ayane, or Christie would be the way to go. If you like the more tech side of things, you're well on your way with LeiFang but you could also give Kokoro a try since her mix ups are great and she has a nice buff with the reset air grab they gave her that puts opponents in a "bound" state for a free close hit.

Looking forward to seeing you around and online!
