I don't think we will get two characters for this season, they already said it would be just one.
Maybe they will announce season 3 meanwhile they tease its DLC character.

That was from the previous patch datamining and Kurisu only found 4 costumes, this one and the three that we got in this patch.
I'm sure over the time we will get at least a costume per character but they will distribute the costumes through future updates like they did with intro/outros.

As always, he is a LOW PRIORITY character; he will NEVER be added as a DLC character simply because most people will NOT care and therefore not buy him (he's a MALE character after all); at most he WILL return in the rerelease. The next character is more than likely Rachel after which, TN will announce the rerelease (with Leon, Ein and Gen Fu) and tag.

Shit like this is why DOA will always be perceived as the joke that it is. every other fighting game you don't have to question whether a dlc character is male or not because they aren't reliant on horny waifu lusting virgins for sales like DOA is.
SC6 says hi xD and it's not that deep tbh, DOA's girls will always be more popular than the male characters, it's always been that way, that's why DOA focuses on the girls since they know people will actually use them and buy their DLC. I think after they brought back Raidou in DOA5LR and saw how the girls ultimately get the most attention as far as DLC goes they made that their priority, SC6 did the same thing with how they set their first SP to only have the girls the fans wanted like Amy and Cassandra
In other fighting games you have to wonder if a dlc character is female or not. MK is the perfect example. In MKX horror movie characters took priority over MK originals like Jade, Sindel and frost. In MKX’s season passes they only had one female character as dlc which was Tanya, a character that should’ve been in the game since day one. In MK11’s kombat pack, the only female character we got is Sindel, and I doubt we get any more female characters in MK11. I don’t think DOA is seen as a joke for that. DOA is seen as a joke because the female characters that get added are little girls and the costumes that the girls got. Like the towels, the skimpy bikinis.

I just find it funny that the mere mention of Leon triggered dude to go in a anti-male dlc rant. "how dare you ask for male dlc characters which will get in the way of MY preferred waifu releasing asap!"
these are the type fans DOA and the developers continue to constantly cater to while alienating everyone else who GASP prefer male characters... THAT is what i see as a joke regarding this series.

I didn’t see that post, I still think it was a bad idea that we got NiCO and Diego as newcomers. They’re so sub par it’s sad. I was so happy that we got one new male but then it was revealed to be Diego who was at first sight pretty cool but, omg he is such a boring and brain dead design both character design wise and gameplay wise. The creativity TN lacks with its characters honestly shows.
Somewhere being neglected by the writers for plot relevance and a priority one roster choice... again.
To be clear, I'm not talking trash, just truth. I think Leon's a fairly interesting character, if not a simple and straightforward one that's a perfect wild card for the story. And if TN cared even a quarter as much, they would've figured out some way to make him relevant to the story by now and give him more of a presence that's appealing even to non-fans... hell, the way the story's panned out, it's easier than ever.
