Dead or Alive 5 - Known Bugs/Glitches

In back-turned stance, if you press up or down to get out of it but then quickly attack you'll get the back-turned attack, but the direction of the attack will be reversed. So for example, if Brad is back turned and you do , you'll get what's really supposed to be . This glitch was actually in doa4 as well.

Story Mode:Sometimes the cutscenes stay in a black screen and only able to listen to the audio. You can skip the cutscene if you want.

Also, experienced a glitch with Mila within about five minutes of booting up the game. Her 214T throw somehow had her disappear off the screen during the kick animation, and when she returned I was able to ground and pound Bayman in the nuts instead of his face. Suffice to say lulz were had.

This happened to us a couple of days ago 2 or 3 times.

Also:
- When using my HDD (which has the game installed) on Xbox's other than my own the first time I selected Fight, Options or anything else the game would seem to freeze for about 20 - 30 seconds. The guide button worked the whole time though.

- Costume portraits go strange colours, seemingly, if we tried to select the characters too quickly after the character select screen loaded. Then after a few seconds they were fine. This only happened maybe 3 times.

theres a glitch with brad when he does any taunt that takes out his gourd after winning a match it turns invisible during his win animation.

Also put my controller down to try and hook up my elgato capture card only to find its dead and if you leave the game sitting on the ranked search screen for to long 20-30 mins , it will not let you out of the screen , had to reboot, it would not read any input buttons to back out or go to main menu, but i could scroll up down with the stick

Anyone else have that glitch where you try to join a lobby but instead you join the lobby below or above it. I can never join peaceful jays lobby the first try.

I'll add to the plethora of glitches (yay...). Did a tag throw with Tina and La Mariposa and somehow Tina's name was still listed as if she was fighting but La Mariposa was the one actually fighting.

In training mode, some settings get reset when you reset the position.

I already dislike how they they did the reset position in the first place (back+RT), as it gets pretty annoying, takes a little to register, and often leaves me spamming what ever move RT is set too.

Now, if I want to practice with power blows on, I can't reset, or else I'll have to go through the menu to turn it on again.

It doesn't help that I'm resetting after almost every knockdown, because the training dummy takes like 10 FREAKIN' SECONDS TO GET UP(*end mini-rant). Seriously, I hope they can fix that too. I've yelled 'get your ass up' a few too many times at my T.V.

Before I could go back to the menu screen, it started up as if I already started a match except I couldn't see the characters. Then all of a sudden I was watching two OTHER people play. When there match was over my whole xbox froze.

this i have had happen also, one thing they did get right is when one rage quit or lost connection i got the points, but ya if they shut off there system and just storm off ,the game freezes , sometimes if you wait 30 secs or so it will process and come back to life and give you the points........or itz reboot stuck mode

On your fighters list it says you can download your rivals AI but there is no way visible to do so. Either it was a feature that was susposed to be taken out, or it's glitched and you just can't do it.

Tag mode character select screen froze on me ...2 times now ...

Im not talking froze as in came back after few minutes ...
I'm talking froze as in Crashed and I had to restart the xbox

Im getting alot of freezing while in training mode, and they seem to be getting worse.
It's a pain joining lobbies.. and I can never find anyone during simple match.
If I quit an offline mode to go to the main menu mid match, it takes forever to load up. I had to reboot my Xbox one time
Also, I went in player match and someone chose Pai, lmao her head was turning like some exorcist shit.
Helena is missing PP2KP... oh wait, that's not a glitch.

They need to fix this shit ASAP, cause I really am enjoying the game.

Console: PS3
I was playing either Arcade Tag Team on one of the higher difficulties and was on 5th round. Got an invitation prompt, so pressed Select button which took me online. I played my match there and once fight finished, used the Register Fighter in List and then choose Fight Again option, but other player maybe left.

Anyway, the game landed me back to where I was in Tag Team 5th round like it normally does. Except this time, when I completed, it didn't end and went to next round (again round 5). It repeated like that repeating round 5 each time instead of ending with the Arcade score incrementing. Anyway, I got tired of that and decided to lose on purpose to see what would happen. I got the Try Again screen and again played round 5. This time after I beat it, instead of repeating the 5th round like the loop it was stuck on it got a black screen with music playing.

I couldn't do anything. I couldn't even hold down the PS button to get Quit Game option. So I had to walk up to my PS3 and hold down the power button until it beeped and shut-down.

So now I am a little more wary of the Invitation thing (which either works right away or tries connecting for a while before not working).

Yeah, I get this too.
It seems to be the same as DoAD. Which is bad.
Characters/Stages will often not randomise and you'll get the same Character/Stage multiple times in a row.
