What's your Win Ratio?

Online is laggy most of the time, and i have PSN. Also, i don't know if it's necessarily indicative of anything, but there are a lot of "top player" replays that are absolute trash on PSN. It's embarrassing, really.

Yes...it is. If I can't play the game, or learn the game like it's meant to be yeah it is.

No, it isn't. Your problem is that you're expecting to be able to learn the game the same way online as you do offline. No matter how good a game's netcode is, it will never compare to actually playing the game offline. It's simply not going to happen.

DoA5's netcode is fine. I live in Japan, have a near dial-up connection, and I can play my friend in Texas who has an equally bad connection with a little bit of noticeable lag, and sometimes it's even better than that (which I consider pretty damn good considering the circumstances).

I play ranked matches on "same" or "nearby" region and have almost no problems. Everyone complaining about the netcode is just complaining about nothing.

There must be something wrong with the replays anyway. I checked one from Buddah and sometimes both characters were just standing there doing nothing. It made no sense.

No. My problem is I expect to be able to block, hold and among other things without so much lag interference. I don't expect to play 100% like offline, but it shouldn't' be unplayable like it is. DOAU was playable even though it wasn't perfect. This game is not. Just because you can stand the lag doesn't mean we all should have to. Especially if you want to play the game competitively. This discussion isn't even debatable. Obviously you don't realize how much lag interferes with this game.

Replays are buggy. I got a perfect round on an opponent once, but the replay showed that I got hit a bunch of times that round. Then in the final round, the replay ended as though I had won, but my opponent still had life left.

Saying DoA5's netcode is unplayable is a gross exaggeration. You want unplayable netcode? Go play MK9.

Again, I get almost no lag when I chose "same" or "nearby" region in ranked. I really don't know what everyone's problem is.

Good for you. Unfortunately that's not so popular for everyone. I do have MK9 actually. I do know how unplayable that game is which is why I don't play it online. I don't care to play that game competitively like I do DOA. I hardly even play doa lately.

@GrandMasterson You probably never played games like SC5 or BBCS. Both of these games have an awesome Netcode. I am from Germany and i can play these games even with Americans without serious lag issues.
In DOA5 I have lag issues with almost everyone, including Europeans who only live a few houndreds of miles away from me.
In other words: The DOA5 netcode is the worst I have ever seen.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2's is pretty much unplayable with anyone who's not literally in your same household. It tops the list, for me.

30%, C+ rank

This is my first time really digging into a DoA game, I main Zack, and I constantly play against an A+ friend (very soon to be an S) who played DoA4 so much that the life bars, timer, and tag arena ropes are brightly burned into his old TV. I take my 30% and C+ with pride. Not really, the rank system is a joke, I'm just trying to learn the damn game right now.

ZACKU BEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM

believe it or not zack has some dirty force techs.... i'd show them to you but i dont have ps3 :'(

i agree that MK9's netcode may seem "unplayable" and it's really bad... but if you and your opponent has a decent connection it's fine most of the time
