Ninja Gaiden 3, the latest entry of the Ninja Gaiden 3 was released earlier this year and more than one gamer was disappointed with the game: the game was mostly criticized for being way too streamlined with a shallow battle system and for having none of the depth and real challenge the series is known for: Tecmo Koei wanted to reach a wider audience and in trying to do so alienated most of the fan base, a fan base looking for a more hardcore experience.
It seems like Tecmo-Koei wants to give the gave a second chance by releasing an updated version of the game, just like they did with Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2: a listing from Amazon France shows Ninja Gaiden 3 Sigma set for release on March 5th 2013 on both Ps3 and Xbox 360. No other information is currently available on the game: given how Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, released some days ago on Wii u has received an overall better reception, thanks to the tweakings on the game and the additional content, including Ayane from the Dead Or Alive series as a playable character with her own skill set, we can expect Ninja Gaiden 3 Sigma to have a similar approach, if not being the Ps3 and Xbox 360 versions of Razor’s Edge.
2013 is going to be a busy year for Team Ninja since Ninja Gaiden 3 Sigma wouldn’t be the only Ninja Gaiden release: Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma Plus is headed towards PsVita in early 2013.
