  • I cannot figure out the name to this one song. It's really bothering me, and I can't search it by its lyrics because there are none -.-
I can pick up things relatively quickly and become good at them. But very rarely am I among the BEST. It's tough sometimes.

That's generally the case for most things. With some practice you can become competent in most things but to become an expert takes much, much more. Most will give up before reaching that point or simply be satisfied with staying at their current level.

It could be a matter of resources too. Not having the all things available to help you get better.
Does anyone know if the costumes that are included as pre-order bonuses for LR will also be available to purchase as DLC?

The pre-order bonuses have always become DLC later on, give it a few weeks after LR launches.

All right, thanks. I'm glad that I'll probably be able to get Ryu's costume without pre-ordering a -physical- copy.
So, tonight I think DOA honestly made me the angriest I've been in, well... years. Why am I playing a game that can do this to me?

I ask myself that all the time. >:/ I think it's because of skill progression, wanting to get better, and I like the community here.
Don't know if I should get Destiny for Xbox 360 when it comes out, or wait a few months to get it once I get a PS4/Xbone...

Same... Some of my friends will definitely be getting it on an XBone and I'm not sure if I even want one, at least not anytime soon. I might just get it for 360 then get it for PC once I get to build one.
Used to be hyped about Destiny, then after a while I wasn't at all. After playing the beta, I'm reconsidering getting the game eventually.
Smash matches have to be the most intense things I've ever seen. Wish I could play like that.

I've always wondered why Brawl isn't played competitively at all, or at least not nearly as much as Melee. I notice a few gameplay differences between the two... but not a whole lot. I'm guessing that I haven't put enough time, effort and research into the games to notice things more skilled and experienced players might.

Melee's pace is a lot quicker, and Brawl's balance is poor.
Played MK9 yesterday and SF4 the day before... I don't understand why those games are so much more popular than DOA. (contd.)

DOA suffers from awful stigmas that it's a "titty-fighter" and that it "looks" a lot easier to play than it is. Depth-wise, DOA5U definitely has at least as much depth to it as SF4 or MK9.

Yeah, I get those stigmas... when I had my PS3 I played a match or 2 with a friend on DOA5UCF and he wouldn't play it again because he didn't like how it felt. He barely played it at all, and almost every time I mention DOA he comments about the "fanservice". I wonder if TN has considered that maybe it's hurting their game, rather than helping it...

TN only listens to the Japanese players and they like tits. The fan service notion is bullshit because games like Arcana Heart, Skullgirls, SoulCalibur, Mortal Kombat 9, Tekken, BlazBlue, etc. have fan service in them too. The fan service notion is an excuse to not give the game a chance and remain ignorant to how its system mechanics work.

But yeah, TN doesn't help matters by releasing so much titty DLC -_-.
Played SSBM and 007 Nightfire with some friends tonight. Those may be a bit old but they're still fun! Had some -seriously- good matches ^_^
Skyrim has taken away my time for DOA. At least for now. I wonder if I'll be rusty when I start playing DOA again...

Got Dragonborn. Looked online as to what people thought of the 2 and everyone said Dragonborn was better (didn't look too far, though). Not really interested in vampires or werewolves either, which I think is a big part of Dawnguard, so it didn't seem too important to me.

And I didn't start playing Skyrim again because I felt like I needed a break from DOA... I was just like "I should play this." :p

I'd agree with that, Dragonborn is the better one. Dawnguard sounds like it's not for you.

I know you didn't say you needed a break from DOA, I was just saying it's possible it might be nice. I've taken breaks from fighting games before and came back stronger, so who knows.

Skyrim is amazing. I have like... 319468 characters in that game. It does become kinda boring tho. Especially when you realize lockpicking is the only skill tree that doesn't become overpowered near the end. I wish Skyrim was harder.
