Joe looks pretty good. And it's cool to hear his FF theme. The stage is ugly as f*ck

So, they stop introducing characters by teams or Iori goes solo and next ones will be Joe's team mates (Andy and Terry, I guess?)
We will see.

Unless they decide to throw Iori into a team with Joe and whoever the next character is. That would be nuts lmfao. People are speculating it may be Billy.

A few dream cancel users and myself are updating the dream cancel wiki as SNK reveals the trailers. Hopefully in the next few trailers, we get more information about the gameplay mechanics. The only thing that seems apparent are the EX moves not being reliant on a Max Mode again, along with the obvious GC roll/blowback mechanics.

Didn't care much for the stage this around and Joe being back was not entirely surprising (not really a fan of the character). Perhaps the next reveal will be a bit more interesting.

I just hope that XV is not as combo-heavy as XIII was with his BC (HD) mechanic. I could write a novel about how that specific game operates in its meta. Even with the criticisms with XIV, I jumped the XIII ship after seeing the game play mechanics through the location tests. XIV offered some good balance on that end.

His "Climax" (if it is called that here) starts off as a projectile, as if it were a bigger version of his Yami Barai.

That might be good to close out some matches with if meter is available for it. Possibly an excellent whiff punish.

Also, don't forget
  • No crossplay no buy
  • Smaller roster than the previous game = no buy
  • No extra costumes = no buy. They can't be lazy like Arcsys.
  • DLC announced before release = no buy
It's already 2021

So here's the heads up so that people do not get overly amused with themselves.

Despite their interest in rollback. There is a possibility that you can implement it wrong (SFV had this problem), so before people jump the gun like "Oh my god! rollback!", take it with a grain of salt that netplay can still use improvements or still end up like an absolute hot mess.

For start, KOF 02' UM rollback was done by the help of Code Mystics. They had some positive results with it, but the same cannot be said for KOF15 since it's being done by SNK themselves. It's to ensure people don't be like "The netcode is bad, rollback is a lie", and because of that feedback, SNK will think it's bad and in the future may force to go back to delay-based netplay. For the love of god, do not convince SNK to do this. Be smart with your responses.

Obviously I stopped playing fighting games a while ago so I won't jump on the hype train for any fighting game as of yet so I will always be watching instead. Now the thing is, there is good rollback and then there is bad ones. If the netcode is dogshit while it's rollback, SNK did it wrong. Point-blank period. Tell them to implement it better, don't tell them to go back to delay-based netplay. Just because delay-based is playable does not mean it's always good (because obviously it's not).

Excellent points.
