BOTW2 is getting delayed..AGAIN! oh well, if they honestly feel like they need another year to work on it then screw it, no need to put out a rushed product
Phatom Breaker is one of the few games i've played in recent memory that REALLY punishes you for using normal block, not only is the chip damage mad high, not only does your guard gauge fill up quickly, but it seems like everything outside of DP's and supers are safe if blocked normally
gotta love the disparity of aerial hitboxes in DOA, some characters take to the freakin' skies but you can still hit them with throws and lows somehow (Kula, Ryu, Nyo) while others go airborne and their hitboxes just disappear into the void (Phase, Hayate, Ayane, Lisa) :/
Phantom Breakers groove system is great (and I wish more fighting games did stuff like it) but it makes the all too common mistake of making 1 groove that's clearly better than the others, thus giving you no reason to explore the other grooves at all :/
Looks like along with a visual redesign, Testament also got his gameplay redesigned, but he's still an Arakune style trap based character so I'm willing to give him a shot
so they're adding OTG's, multiple juggle states, and restands into SFV; what's weird about that is that all those things existed in SFV in the pre-release footage but they removed them when the game launched, and now 6 years later they're putting them back in? weird...
always worrying when a franchise you like goes dormant for a few years and comes back with a gacha title, at that point you're just hoping that they're building funds and exposure for the next real game and they're not content to just sell Jpegs for ludicrous amounts of money :/
welp, Phatom Breaker Omnia finally got released, and it sure does feel like a fighting game that was made in 2010 i.e dated looking sprites, absolutely 0 tutorialization, and alot of jank
TMNT Tournament Fighters being ported to modern hardware with online capabilities? maybe this'll pave the way for other SNES fighters that ppl still play to get ported, like Ranma Hard Battle or Sailor Moon S, it's doubtful but a man can dream
Imagine spending time getting nice at an arena fighter, learning true combos, unblockable setups and 2 touch kill sequences, Imagine doing all that work, just to lose to someone doing an infinite that consists of mashing jump light attack
been rewatching/reading alot of Rumiko Takahashi stuff lately, never noticed that every female character she draws is 75% legs, 25% upper body, it's quite hilarious
I thought needlessly sexualized furry bait was Sonic Team's M.O, but it looks like Hal Labratory is giving it a shot with these new Kirby boss designs :/
I like it, it forces you to be active on defense and use the plethora of universal defensive techniques (parry, reflection, protection, guardpoints, etc)
