    Emery made a discovery that tekken 8 could resmeble doa. They implemented the same stage hazards like doa5lr. Anywho, if I were you ( I know I am not but if I was) wait for a sale on tekken 7 first. Just to get your feet wet. Also play the waiting game with Tekken 8. The temptation of getting it day one is plenty but if you let it marinate for a year or two, the wait will be worth it.

    Go for it. Tekken 7 is still fun to an extent. I'm mostly curious to see how a dedicated generation 9/Unreal Engine 5 3D Fighter will play.

    Except it looks like the way Harada's implementing it doesn't change the arena much. It's not even close to DOA 5, if the recent trailers are any indication.

    The reason I would never quit is because it's how I'm built. I didn't train for it. It's who I am. I've learned to respect people that do quit. One upon a time... I didn't. It's a lesson I learned from experiencing other people's pain and one that I needed to learn.

    Going from 500-5K followers I knew at that point I must be doing something right. DOA5 tournament write-ups and the hype of DOA6 was a lot of fun to report and I think that is where my foundation started, but the reality is that it was the hair service that helped put me over. It was so bittersweet to me that a negative news post is what elevated me, but I try to let my passion and love for DOA shine through that.

    I was also recently asked "well what can help me gain more attention with DOA content?" The first thing is to actually be a fan of the product. I've seen promising creators bash and hang DOA and then they ask why? Because there are fans of DOA that love it and don't want to hear their game get trashed every waking hour. Players can tell if you don't like DOA and are defensive to what they believe makes DOA special.

    It takes time and I started at 0 everything. Take IE @EmeryReigns he was not well received at first and a lot of people talked, but he kept going. Every community has stars regardless of the size and whatever people want to believe he is the biggest star we have along with Rikuto, Ponton, Master, Hoodless, Dbomb, Awesmic, Zakkurye - they fought through the tough shit and people respect that.

    I wouldn't mind as long as Platinum Games does the spirit of Ninja Gaiden justice. Namely a focus on tight, mechanically sound combat and preferably good level design. Other than TN, Platinum is the next best at raw combat mechanics IMO. My big concern is that I can't help but feel that KT doesn't really care for the franchise all that much.

    @inochinagi Yeah, Other M's graphics, combat mechanics and interior level design is solid. It was unfortunately used on a game franchise that normally emphasized exploration and subdued story telling.

    I don't think Platinum is lucrative enough, historically speaking.

    God of War is the definition of recycling bad gameplay. I would rather play DOA6 on shrooms being stabbed by a knife.

    Yeah games like God of War, Last of Us, Horizon etc. all have this samey movie feel where they catch you with either effects or high graphical fidelity that "seems" real to others and how good the plot is (which is subjective).

    Those games are like celebrities where you roll the red carpet for them, while the standard niche games are on the sidelines drinking hearing their speech when they get awarded with trophies.

    Yeah, that is the vibe that I get from Playstation's AAA exclusives. For instance, I tried GoW:R this week and its presentation is incredible, but it also gives off the vibe of: "Here's another high end 3rd person cinematic action adventure game!". Very high quality, but still par for the course. Though Sony is in the movie business so I guess these type of games are "their thing".

    @DestructionBomb I also agree that there's a bit too many Dark Souls clones. I enjoy the Nioh games (and games like Code Vein & Stranger of Paradise), but the genre can feel a bit stale at times. I admit that I'm mildly miffed that the dedicated hack n' slash genre has taken a hit because of Soulslike's popularity.

    Bayonetta 3 - I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm disappointed. Wasn't up to my standard of the first two and I really think that the Switch is starting to show its age. Haven't been a big fan of the Switch as of late.

    I stopped supporting Platinum when they sold their asses to everyone, be it Nintendo or with Babylon's LOL to Square. No soul anymore and most important devs already left anyways. Our calculators are more powerful than the Switch on top of it. Hope Sega gets the full rights for Bayo to release it on Pc in the future. Rights seem to be shared atm. Just make a kickstarter instead of exclusivity deals
